OK, this may be a dumb queston, but my brain struggled with it a bit. I though we could all practice on me.

My dh and I are planning to do teh Alaskan Cruise in Aug or Sept. of next year. We have an August UY and will be using 2005-2007 points (minus our marathon trip points). Yikes!

OK, so I will book the cruise in October. At that point, are all my points basically taken out of my account? If that's teh case, then I do not have to bank any from this year as they will all go to my January trip or this trip, right?

I won't have to bank any 06 points either, right. Again, they will all go to cruise.

I'm pretty sure I've got it, but am not 100% sure of when the points are taken out. IIRC, they are taken out instantly for trade outs but are left in for in DVC use until day 1 of DVC trip, right?

TIA!

I'm so confused... Deep-Thots, did you just add this board or did I miss it before?

I just added it. When you posted the question, I realized we needed a new board! :)

Have you thought about renting or transferring your points to another member for cash?

You may get more bang for your buck and have some points left over for Marathon '07.

Ya know - I should really do that and take more trips!

I'd rather just use the points and not hassle with renting. NOt ot mention, this whole matthon training takes up a LOT of time. DOn't know if I'll be doing another one. We'll have to see how big the after run high is.

...or if the legs are as wobbly as the spelling... ;)

Oh, I owuld imagine the legs will be worse, believe it or not. The again, my legs are never all that steady. Lack of coordination comes from both sides of teh family.
