Yup. 25% off of rack rates, and only at the DVC resorts. Note that the discount is designed to fill rooms that would otherwise go empty. Thus rooms are only offered at this discount level when DVC's computer system projects that the resort will not be fully booked by members when the date arrives.

Getting the cash discount on a weekday for the smaller resorts like BCV, BWV and VWL is probably near impossible. Weekends are much easier to get at all resorts.

Another limitation on this perk is that the DVC member must be staying in the room. While they won't do bed checks, this does mean that members are unable to book more than one room at a time with the 25% discount.

tlkraz, I think they've changed the rule that a member has to be staying in the room. I've recently booked a reservation for a friend at a DVC resort using their name and credit card details through my member number and have qualified for the member discount.

I was able to get the 25% off for 6 nights at BWV in a 1BR for this September. I originally wanted BCV, but the discount wasn't available there. I even tried changing the dates in September to no avail. The CM told me to keep calling back to see if BCV becomes available.

September '05 we were able to get the 25% off for a 1BR at BWV, also.

I previously had a 1BR at VWL booked on cash discount for this August, but cancelled that one.

It is 25% if available. You should book early to make sure you can get the discount.

We got the 25% off a Grand Villa on Friday and Staurday night in June 2006 for HH. We booked right at the 7 month window.
