Well Tuesday the surgeon went in to check out the knee so he could figure out what needed repairing this time. Well he removed the cartalidge in my right knee on the inside part of the knee. I have to have ligament repairs also but that won't be for awhile hopefully not in Oct or Nov LOL I told him he couldn't have me in a chair for my trip to Disney in Dec he just laughed at me. So I am going to be having a minor supposedly surgury every couple years as my knee is mostly bone on bone in the joint now as of the removal of the meniscus so they will have to go in and clean it out every couple years as teh bone chips will start to accumulate in the knee joint otherwise. So it looks like I am a prime candidate for knee replacement in my 50's joy oh bliss LOL. I am still not giving up playing hockey though I just can't stop playing that is my happy place even moreso than Disney.

Thanks everyone I actually drove today not the smartest thing to do but I had to test it out at some point LOL. It feels better today than it did yesterday but still very swollen ah well one day at a time is how I need to go with it. I start physio on Tuesday so that should help a bit.

I have been through so many of these things now it is like second nature LOL. It always gets better then I always manage to make it worse again in a year or so LOL. It is a cycle I go through and my DW hates it but what can you do I just can't give up the thigs I love (Hockey and Disney) just won't happen.

Darren! You need to take care of that knee! (At least a little bit.) :dust: Hope it gets better soon, but it sounds like you have an awful long road ahead of you.

Thanks Carrie ya it is a long road with all that needs to be done but I am not to worried about it by the time my knee replacement comes around they will be far better than they currently are and I will still be playing hockey on it LOL.

And one day grandparents around the world will benefit from the durability tests you'll do on your "replaced" knee. ;)

If it gets one more grandparent around WDW better, you will have done well! lol.

Yep knees are one of the things that once they start to get bad there is really no stopping them they just seem to deteriorate. Mind you I don't seem to be helping them along a healthy path with my activities at all LOL.

Thanks Mushu I am allready walking without my crutches and at almost 100% weightbearing on it now so it is moving along now I just need to work on range of motion and strength training it.
