Welcome to The DVC Boards!!!

We're really glad you could join us on the web's only DVC-dedicated discussion forum, and we hope you'll help make it the hopping :jumpingbe community we know it can be: All DVC, all the time!!

Some of you have asked about things like board guidelines and user tags/titles, and you can find that info in the FAQs and Community Guidelines section of the forums.

Oh, and if you're wondering about "Founding Members," "DVC Board Guides," and that kind of thing, then let me just say that they’re the folks who helped to get this endeavor off the ground. (And you can think of the "DVC Board Guides" as "moderators", but "guides" has more of a DVC flare to it, no?)

Anyway, you'll find that we do things a bit differently around here. First of all, we can be a bit inane, perhaps occasionally mildly risque, and even entirely off-topic. We do this because we are, first and foremost, a community – a DVC community. In fact, if you look closely, you’ll discover that we have not just a community board, but an entire COMMUNITY HALL! Woo hoo!

What’s more, because we’re a community that values its members and its members’ contributions, we’re open to suggestions and improvements (but no html: sorry!) that will allow us to help others “share the magic.” (In fact, check out our resource website (http://www.mouseowners.com) to see just how much magic we've shared.)

If you're visiting for the first time, we're so glad you're here. Above all, don't be shy! Some of us here have known each other for a long time, while hundreds of others, like yourself, are brand new. Just jump right in! Every new MouseOwner has something to add and can make these Forums the best resource for all things DVC.

Wow - you guys are amazing! Thanks for all the hard work in achieving this. I only wish I could contribute more - maybe when the little guy finally sleeps through the night. For now, I guess my only contribution will be the Word-To-Scream-In-Public-For-No-Apparent-Reason. Not much I know.

Now could someone explain to this feeble gopher brain how the hierarchy on this site works, LOL? (I think I need a cross-reference between sites as to what constitutes a moderator/taginator/webmaster/founding member ... augh!)

Well, I was just made wise about this new website by my friend ColoradoBelle, and I'm really looking forward to spending a whole lot of time (I'm sure way too much of it) here. Though we haven't purchased YET, I'm looking forward to getting some very valuable insight into the DVC.

I am going to have to pinch Carrie (PoohsPal) and Laura (jiggerj) for letting me know about this forum...because I'm sitting here instead of packing!!! (We leave for the "world" tomorrow morning @ 6:40am) Hopefully Wilma is long gone and everything is reopened. Best Wishes to anyone that has been affected by Wilma the Whopper. :grouphug:

Glad to find a dedicated DVC site. When the kabosh was put into effect, I migrated to an "underground tag fairy, banned psuedo-community thread" on the Universal Boards. Amazing it hasn't been shut down yet' :whistlebl : must be flying under the radar. Despite my best attempts @ gratuitous pandering, I haven't been graced w/a tag yet.

Look forward to many interesting threads...many thanks 'Mar/idratherbeinwdw.

Yes we are vacation club owners. We joined at SSR in 04 when we got home after our first trip to WDW. We stayed at POR and had a great time and thought we would make it our family vacation spot each year.

Hi!

My name is Tricia, I am from central Wisconsin and am not an owner yet. However, the paperwork for becoming an owner is currently in a FedEx plane somewhere between here and Orlando.

Our home resort will be SSR and I am very excited to join you here. If anyone is familiar with Lodgeboards, I was sent over here from a few members over there. Originally I was planning on renting points for an upcoming vacation. We went from renting to owning in about a week!

I haven't really surfed around the site much yet, but wanted to say HI before I jump in!.

You're smart to put the money in the purchase if you know you want it - we rented once first, and while it was nice to be sure, we were thinking that we could have put that money toward the purchase!
