View Full Version : Making DVC ressies while at Sea?

We're taking the Eastern Cruise on 4/29. On 5/1, our 7 month window opens to change our current SSR ressies (11/25 - 12/1) to a different resosrt - either BWV or VWL, we hope. I know there are DVC reps on board many cruises. Do they have the ability to act as MS and make/change reservations, or can guest services on board make the contacts for us?

I suppose I could do it via email, but I like talking to a person for these things in case there are options. We'll dock on 5/6, so I could take care of it then, but our first night is Thanksgiving Saturday and I want every edge I can get.

One thought was calling from port (will be in St. Martin on 5/2), but cell service would be expensive, and I'm not sure about phone card calling - though I'm sure I could pick up a card almost anywhere.

Thoughts?

Unfortunately, DVC on board cannot do any services that MS provides.

I found out that if you want to book a cruise using points, you must wait until you are on land and have 3 days from disembarking in order to get any incentives.

Your best bet would be to buy a calling card and call from St. Martin.

Thanks - we'll have plenty of time in port, so that's probably what I'll try to do. Here's hoping the hold times aren't that long on a Tuesday! Recommendations on best time of day to call?

Can't remember what Time Zone you'll be in, but whatever 9:00 a.m. EST is, then you won't waste your whole day!
