Hey all,

We're taking our first off-site trip ever - just up and decided to go in two weeks, so here's a question:

I know you get free parking if you're a resort guest. Do you get it with AP's? Or DVC? or DDE (okay, just checking to see if you're paying attention)? Just want to make sure I'm not missing anything.

Thanks!

Ap's get free parking. DVC gets free parking and free valet service if you're staying on points. DDE does get some type of parking privilege too but, I can't remember what it was.

DDE gets free valet parking if you are eating at a restaurant on the DDE plan. They say you must have your receipt from the meal. I've probable done this 20 times.

As a side note, my wife and I use the above method whenever we go to the MK. It is easier with the stroller and I like not having to go through the parking lot or to the TTC. Plus I like eating at the resort restaurants on the monorail loop. Hope that helps.

Thanks, you guys, that's great news!

UKWildcat, do you mean free valet at the resorts? Or is there valet at TTC or something for the MK I don't know about?

And, we really liked O'Hana last time we were there. If I can get in there still, are we able to just leave our car at the Poly and go over and see the fireworks at the MK or is there a time limit?

Thanks again!

Sorry, free valet at the resorts. Have fun.

No valet at the parks as far as I know. We have been to WDW 9 times in the past year (we live less than a 2 hour drive away). I think I would've heard about valet at the parks. Off hand, we have just used valet at Poly to go to MK. No meal. We have never been asked for our meal receipt.

I believe there is supposed to be a two hour time limit for the DDE parking priviledge. That said, I haven't heard of them enforcing it (just as wildcat said - no proof or receipt seems to be required either). Just be sure you are ok with paying if they DID suddenly decide to enforce the rules.

Here's the information from DVCmember.com regarding valet parking:

Valet Parking at the Walt Disney World Resort

Valet parking is complimentary at Disney's BoardWalk Resort, Disney's Wilderness Lodge, and Disney's Beach Club Resort. Just show your Disney Vacation Club Member ID Card. Complimentary valet parking is not available at other valet parking operations or for Theme Park access.

You'll be charged the daily fee of $7.00 for this service at any other valet parking operation at the Walt Disney World Resort. Once you've paid for the valet service, you'll receive unlimited valet parking for the remainder of the day. Whether or not you are charged to valet park, gratuities are still appropriate. There will be no charge for Guests with disabilities who have the proper permits.
