Has anyone been to this? Is it worth the money? Do you know if Magic Kingdom has the same fireworks on other nights or just at the party? Any feedback would be great:earboywav

We just did this on Monday night! It was beautiful. If you love the Magic of Christmas it's so worth the money. It's all personal opinion I guess, but just the parade, the extra shows and the snow on main street made it worth it for me! We were also able to do a lot of attractions during the early parade with no wait time. I usually won't wait in line for any attraction for more than 15 minutes, so this was nice.

We enjoyed the shows. The snow on main street was nice. We enjoyed cookies and hot cocoa. It was something different. Was it a bit over priced yes, but would we do it again, yes!

:yes:I have been going to the xmas party for 6 years. I first went with my husband, then my mother and daughter, and then my two daughters two years in a row .Unfortunately my last two years were in the rain. First year I went with my husband I laughed thinking they give out hot chocolate, How silly. I am in florida. Laugh was on me it was 40 degrees and we were bouncing from one place to another looking for our hot chocolate. All that aside, it is wonderful and magical. The castle is all crystals and changes colors that alone is worth the price of admission. There is main street all decked out. The shows are amazing if you have children a must. It snows on main street bubbles everywhere, loved it. The parade is so xmassy and colorful children will be thrilled. And to end it the fireworks, breathtaking. I absolutely would pay admission to go especially the first time. DVC gets a discount and annual passholders but even if you don't which I did not the first time you should still go. Xmas is a special time in Disney and the magic kingdom is the place to go. So I would highly recommend it go and enjoy the magical xmas that disney puts on. Have fun:jumpingbe

Got the DVC discount and had a wonderful time. The crowds are not bad. If you can, save a day of your parkhopper - doing DTD or resting by the pool until mid-afternoon. You can enter the park by 4:30 or so on your party ticket.
I absolutely would have a hard time using a day's admission, and turning around and paying $96 for the two of us to go to the evening party. But since we did not do a park during the daytime hours, it did not seem like a huge expense.

DW and I went last year, if you are any type of christmas lover, this is a must. The layout, stories and parade are fantastic. I do agree with grandbuddy and not use a whole day at MK. We did every ride and then some in the four or so hours allotted to us. Even rode BTMRR at least 5 times with no wait. Cookies and cocoa arent bad either. Try to get the discounted tix and the price is not so bad.

I'm bummed. We'll be there from Nov. 22-Nov 28th. No party then. My daughter would have loved to see the snow.

I am reading mixed opinions - some say the parades, shows and fireworks are party-specific but a number of people say the same exact parade and shows are available during the day at the park (perhaps only really close to the actual holiday?). Can anyone set me straight definitively - are the shows etc unique to the party, or not?
Thanks!

Be careful purchasing in advance though! We did that to get the DVC discount two years ago and the rain was terrible. Fireworks canceled and no snow on Main Street. Other nights during our trip has beautiful weather. I'm heading to Disney three weeks from today as weel but I'm not buying my tix till I see a weather report.

We were at the 11/10 MVMCP the other night, would definitely recommend it if you have little ones. First party for us, even our 10 year-old had a blast. Its expensive, but I thought it was worth it for a once in a while treat. The fireworks were different than Wishes. The Night Before Christmas show at the theatre near Buzz was the same one we saw last year during holiday season (not at the party). Not sure if parade and show at the castle are different from normal park shows, sorry. Only thing we waited in line for was free hot chocolate and cookies! No wait times for rides at all that night.

Don't worry about the snow Cleo. It's so faint and so high up in the air, it's hard to tell anyway.
MVMCP was awesome. Free and easy ride access... cool parade... awesome castle lighting.
I'd agree, save your hopper and just go at night. We just returned. That day we were up early for AK magic hours, did the park, went to Studios, did the park, went to dinner at Calif Grill, went to the MK. In the time between 7 and 12 we did everything in the MK that was open. That was a long long day. It's expensive but if you skip the day (park hopping) it's just another day on a pass.

to kdzgon: The fireworks and parades for this party are just for this party. Wishes and Spectromagic are during the week. The nites of the party you pay a special admission and you get the entire nite of xmas. It is fabulous and as my prior post states well worth seeing. I would recommend looking at the forecast to make sure there is no rain, I was rained out twice and unless disney cancels you don't get your money back I actually watched the fireworks in the rain, not so xmassy. :o
