Thinking of getting a GV at OKW the last week of Jan '07- Do you think we would have a chance at 7 months out? OKW is not our home resort-

It might be doable at that time of the year.

If not on the 1st try, keep trying. We got a Sun-Thurs. in June 2005 when I called in March. Jan has a lower usage and you may not have much trouble getting it. We had to wait list till the day we arrived for the final night of our trip, but it was definately worth it. BEWARE though because we loved it so much we did a 100 pt. add-on just for the GV option every couple of yrs.

We have not stayed in a GV yet, and I am just about to have a fit to do so. I think I would probably want to sit in the Villa just taking it all in instead of going out and doing stuff.

We shared points in December with my mom, dizhoni and DF for a GV! There were 6 of us and we absolutely loved it!!!! We had to change our trip from October to December and believe it or not, we still got a GV at about 3 months out :highfive: I definitely think it would be worth a try; the waitlist worked for us and we took any day available along the way and then eventually were able to fill in the gaps:jumpingbe

jiggerj-I hope you don't mind, but I am going to hijack your thread for a moment. How about GV availability in June? We are looking at the second week. With the relatively low point cost for a GV, I am surprised that non-OKW owners are able to get them at all.

Is it harder to get a GV at BWV or OKW? I realize there is a big point difference but are there less GV ats BWV? Just curious! Thanks

I am about to stay in an OKW GV that we were able to reserve for spring break week (at least spring break here in Georgia, so probably causes a bump in activity in Orlando) and I made the ressie after the 7 month window had opened.

I would think you would have a good chance at the end of January.

My understanding is that it is very difficult to get a GV at BWV. There are only 7 (?) and they all have a boardwalk view.
