View Full Version : Race For The Taste 10K

Has anyone done the Race For The Taste 10K at the Food and Wine Festival? My husband and I are doing it during our stay this year. Just curious to hear how it is...or any Disney race for that matter! We're thinking about planning our next trip around a larger race...definitely would appreciate any recommendations (good or bad!) Thanks!

I've seen almost entirely positive reviews about the January Disney Marathon, but somewhat mixed reviews about some of the other events.

I have a bunch of reports and photos from the race the last few years on my website http://www.DisneyRunning.com .

I haven't done it personally but have done Goofy 3 times(and 5K) in Jan, Minnie 5K & 15K, and Tower of Terror 13K. The only one with issues was TOT 13K and that was first year having it. RFTT 10K is fun from friends who have done .

We did this last year. This was the first time we had done a race at WDW. I loved running thru the Studios and Epcot. I was disappointed there were no characters, though. Still, a great time to go cause of the F&W Festival. So, I'd give it a thumbs up.

We're doing the WDW Half in January and I'm excited cause I want to run thru the MK and get some pics of us with characters along the way!

DH and I have decided we'd try to get down to WDW alone w/o the kids for a few nights each year and try a different race.

I think October 2009 we're gonna do the Tower of Terror 13K, cause I really like going to F&W.

How is the marathon? I heard that the half is much better....we're thinking about signing up for 2010. The marathon sells out soooo fast!

We were planning on doing the Marine Corp Marathon next year, but maybe we'll do Disney instead.

My husband is egging me to do the Goofy challenge. We went down to Jacksonville last February to run the Breast Cancer Marathon- which is by far the BEST race I've ever been a part of!!!!!! But we spent the week at Disney before the race...not the smartest thing.
