Thought I'd let everyone know that I got a look at the DVC billboard across from the non-Disney Bonnet Creek resort. People had initially reported that it was "wrapped" and there was a lot of speculation as to what may lie underneath.

Well, I don't know what it looked like while under wraps, but the end result is nothing to get excited about. It's basically a red DVC van (like the vans used to cart around prospective members) with Goofy leaning out the window and waving.

No mention of 100,000 members. No mention of a new resort. It is a nice, three-dimensional sign for DVC, but nothing new to report. I will try to get a snapshot if I can, but no promises.

Why do I suddenly have this image of you leaning out the window yelling "slow down honey!!! Its for the board!!!" :laughing:

I figured it was nothing. I think they really like working us into a lather and will do this a couple of times before officially anouncing something new.

BTW, lllovell, your assumption was pretty much correct....just eliminate DW from the equation. Let's just say I was multitasking during that drive. ;)

It is adorable, love the matching character hat boxes and baggage on top of the van.

So who is the third character from the left inside the van. First Minnie, then Mickey, then ?????, then looks like Donald. After getting up close, it looks like maybe Daisy.

Why in the world would they let Goofy drive?

Cool billboard, but yes, certainly not worth the stir it caused. It looks like it would be Daisy to me, too.

Thanks for revealing the mystery to us! I believe my opinion many moons ago was that it was nothing - that the Disney/DVC people lurk on these boards and just wanted to get some entertainment out of us!:crazy:

I can think of three right off the bat. Britney, Lindsay Lohan, and the drunk guy that totalled the million dollar Lamborghini (or was it a Ferrari?).
