Since the DVC list of potential DVC sites was limited, I decided to expand upon their list of options.

Personally, after the DVC in Hawaii, I think there should be a second DVC in California, specifically at Disneyland. They need to build the membership base out west, before adding additional trading options.

My second choice is to build another site for the East Coast, somewhere Caribbean and tie it to the cruise line business. Its all about the synergy! :sunny:

You can vote for multiple sites!

I would love to see expansion in California and more Carribean locations also.

I was puzzled when the went to Hawaii instead of building on their east coast oriented base by expanding in the Carribean.

For me, I would like to see more Carribean locations because I LOVE tropical vacations and find the Carribean easier to fly to than Hawaii. I dread a 10 hour flight, but will gladly hop on anything less than 5 hours.

Considering that the majority of the DVC owners live in the North East corridor, great lakes region....I am surprise that the have not tried to expand the options for those members. Plus, with the cruise line expanding to four ships, just would make more sense to tie the cruise line and a new DVC site together.

I voted Tahoe. I think Tom's argument is right - they need to expand their West Coast base. I would personally prefer a Caribbean location (Virgin Islands or Aruba), but I'm not sure that would really expand their base that much. Do folks who vacation regularly in the Caribbean really want to buy into Disney? And we already have so many DVC options on the East Coast.

I said Tahoe, because they would give the West Coast fan base more options besides Disneyland. Do all of those SoCal folk really want to own DVC for stays at DL? Or, would they like the option for a couple of nights at DL and then 5-7 nights at Tahoe? I'm thinking the latter.

I agree. Although I doubt we would use DVC for anything beyond WDW or DLR.. Hawaii is surprising over ther Carribean given the east coast customer base.

I would like to see Disney hotels with DVC floors (like Jambo House) at popular family vacation spots such as

New York City
Philadelphia
Boston
Washington, D.C
Williamsburg
Colorado (ski area)
Southern California (beachfront)
San Francisco
Grand Canyon
Yellowstone
Paris (central city location)
London
Rome

I would really like to see a resort in the Caribbean somewhere where there is a consistantly warm temperature.

We really like the crystal blue waters and the laid back atmosphere. Some place where we could snorkle and actually see something other than a trout would be nice.

I think my 1st choice would be Key West. It is like the Caribbean without the hassel and expense of International travel.

Besides that, somewhere in TX on the Gulf of Mexico seems like a good choice from a business perspective. Warm temps, close to the US midwest and southwest. Still pretty close to a lot of the South.

I like Mexico a lot too. I bet they could find a cheap, beautiful piece of property to develop somewhere in Mexico.

Near Broadway.

But, lacking that choice, I voted for the Virgin Islands.

I love the idea of an Adirondack dvc!
We're not really beach people,
but can see a Caribbean dvc being profitable.
