So we were waiting in line for the ToT and when we got to the actual numbered queue area the gal to the left of me told our threesome to "Shut Up!" She then explained on that this was her first time and she was nervous. I of course said "You should have taken the stairs." Anyhow, we get on the ride. I am one of those people who never grew up so of course my 15 year old son and I always act silly on rides. We were doing our "Oh no, it never did this before!" shtick and the girl (same one) made some comment about how the ride was never the same and called me an "annoying girl". While it was nice for my 38 year old self to be called a girl, the annoying part along with the rude shut up she had given us earlier was not very nice to deal with. Very UN-Disney!

Thanks for all the replies....she did get really scared by the way! I didn't say anything else and my son and I kept our "screams" to a minimum. I guess we can be annoying when we are screaming at times when nothing is really going on. At least we don't do it when there are children on the ride...it tends to scare the little ones. We have a TON of fun being silly like that, my son will have me laughing so hard I almost pee my pants sometimes! I hope I never grow up too much to enjoy being silly!

Our family would be THRILLED to ride rides with you - one of my favorite parts of our last trip was embarrassing DS14 (even though no one could see) with my screams of terror and clinging to him on every turn at the snow white ride... :upsidedow and then the kids try to be as stoic as possible on the "thrill rides" and compete to look the most bored for the camera shots.
Isn't vacation when you are supposed to let go, create inside jokes, bond through those one of a kind experiences? Sounds like this chicky needed to focus more on the fun of her vacation instead of her ego trip.
Still I would also be flattered to be called a "girl" :D

:hahahaha: Love the way you handled it!
I could never understand why people act stupid on rides. I think it is immature, juvenile, and inconsiderate of others who want to have a nice peaceful experience. I am sure glad that my family doesn't have any of those tendencies.

I think you handled that wonderfully. I love being silly! It's fun and keeps you youthful. DH and I will do the same stuff sometimes. We have started doing silly stuff for our ride pics too. When you have a bunch of them you need to mix it up! LOL Jim that's a great pic!
There is a point where I think being silly goes into being annoying. For instance, when groups of tweens/teens are screaming for no apparent reason at the top of their lungs and running through the HM really scaring the younger kids in there. I felt so bad for this mom and dad who had there probably 5-6 yo with them when this happened when we were on the HM. It was the end of the night and we were in the stretching room when they entered the foyer. As soon as we saw them we knew. I looked at the mom and she looked at me with that "oh boy here we go" look I just shook my head. Of course we were right. :toiletcla

this picture made me laugh, not because of your faces, but because of the "other people". they really do look rather inanimate.

:hahahaha:Oh my goodness! You all have me ROFL! I love your pics! I need to buy more of mine to bring home. We always do stuff like pretend we are asleep on the ToT pic. We also do really terrified faces that are super fake looking on Expedition Everest and SM. I LOVE all your pics! I want to see more. Is there a thread with just these pics in them? Because I would love to look at it! If there isn't maybe we should have one! Thanks for making my night! You guys are awesome! Even if I am an annoying girl!

I was sorely tempted to mess with her. By the way, are the people in your car even LIVING???

We used to do different poses (like Moose Antlers) on the old Figment ride... before they dropped the picture.
On this particular day, one of the kids suggested "open mouth/bug eye scream" and a different one suggested Moose Antlers... so we did both.

Went last December with my entire family and we were working on our "terrified" looks for the Test Track photo. Best was when there were only 2 or 3 of us and we shared a car with some of those "inanimate" people. They had no clue what we were doing until they saw the pic at the end of the ride.

I know I am going to say dugh.......!! But I can't think of what ride is TO T? All I can come up with is tommorowland transit???? Surely not as noone would be scared of that! I have gone through all the roller coasters, mission space, test track, ... what that heck does it stand for????

Tower of Terror. Did you say "duh?" :)
Btw, I love that picture from Test Track. Unfortunately that is me in the other front seat. Didn't get much sleep that night so we decided to nap on test track.:catchingz
In all seriousness (can I say that on a "never grow up" thread). I enjoy making faces on the pictures, too. My wife is usually too terrified on TOT (which she has now stopped going on blaming the kids, but I know better) and Splash Mountain to join in.

Way to go! I get so tired of seeing everyone trying to be "professional" while at WDW. It's the place to be a kid. I once heard someone complain about "all the kids" at Disney! Can you believe it?
Love the pics by the way, very funny. I need more work on my goofy face.

Love the story and the photos! We love making our "Just Jack" pose for the cameras and while we continue to age -- no one can make us grow up.
