Any thoughts on the new fireworks show at DLP?

Here's a Youtube video of it: http://youtube.com/watch?v=3QKmlKkeIRk

And a couple of articles on it:

Those were beautiful! I loved part where the fireworks just fanned the castle for a min. Thanks for sharing!

I am hoping to wander over and see them in a few weeks. Fireworks at DLRP are rare; just in summer and Bonfire Nights and such.

I managed to get to a Bonfire Night spectacular last year and was very impressed with the show. It was a very small turn out in the audience (a weekday, and mostly guests from the UK of course) That was a well timed week for me - I managed to catch Hallowe'en, Bonfire Night, and Christmas celebrations all in one week by planning the work/play schedule properly! :D

Really different to have the castle dark through so much of the show. Thanks for sharing!

I'd love to go there myself, some day. DLP and Tokyo Disney (esp. Disney Sea) are on my bucket list.

Saw the show last year and was not impressed. Funny though, it looks better on video than it did in person -- probably because exclusive use of low-level pyrotechnics frames the castle perfectly for a camera.

What the show desperately needs is the addition of high-altitude mortar shells, which might not be allowed due to environmental concerns. It's pretty ho-hum without the big stuff.

I will say this, the air-launch technology they're using would be awesome in Illuminations and would certainly help reduce the rain of debris that plagues those downwind of the current version.

It would have been fun to see the fireworks when we were there in June. Not sure if this is off topic because I can't seem to find a dedicated thread on DLPR, but we had a lot of fun at the resort and at the studios and would like to share. Does anyone want to hear about the trip? Let me know and I will post some good tips about visiting DLPR and Paris in the same trip for families with children.

I think it was the best one DLRP ever did up to now.

Here is what I thought about it on my blog; http://blog.mousekingdom.com/2008/07/14/enchanted/
