AKV Purchase Questions

I am looking into purchasing into DVC. I have been reading most of the forums for the past month, but still have a few questions that I hope someone can answer.

1. If I buy into AKV I will be getting the Kidani points. How does this relate to the current points in the AKL Jambo house? Will I always get a Kidani room because I am buying into the kidani phase?

2. Does anyone know the current UY available for Kidani?

We just bought Kidani. What we were told is that our use points aren't available (but also pro-rated dues) until May when Kidani is finished (hence the DPs being offered). But once Kidani is finished all AKV points are together (ie we could get Jambo etc.)

As far as use year, we got Dec 08 and she said there were some Feb 09 available but beyond that she didn't look.

With the December UY, you got 08 points to bank or use at another property (plus DP)? I assume that if I took an 09 Feb UY I wouldn't get 08 points. So, it would be more advantageous to get a UY from the remaining months of 08.

We are reconsidering closing on our Apr 09 UY purchase, because it would be great to get the 2008 UY points. I pushed for an April UY because our daughter's (age 10) school schedule makes May - June a likely vacation time. Knowledge of the 2008 point bonus has made me reconsider. From tbear's post, I passed on the 2008 points without realizing it. Can anyone else confirm my suspicions. Does anyone know if an Apr 09 UY will benefit from the 2008 points.

I hope someone can answer your question. Basically, you are wondering if they would (could) give you an apr 08 UY. Obviously if you bought on the resale market it would be possible. But does Disney eliminate the points for a UY in the current calendar year if that month has passed?

Thanks for sorting out my real issue. I would maybe stand to lose a year from the contract, rather than bonus points. I was over analyzing because of my disappointment over not getting the developer points. Have a great weekend!
