For those in the chat room last night, DS is okay. Wow, what a scare! DH comes into the room saying, "Derek's been hit by a semi" I swear I almost lost it!
Well, here's the reconstruction of the accident. Driving down Weber Road near his house (in his new corvette, btw), he's stopped at a red light and this semi rear ends him. So, the good news is he's a little sore but nothing major. His car needs some work but again nothing major. Man, someone's looking after him (and me, for that matter). So I'm sorry for the abrupt goodbye last night, but believe me, the words semi, accident and son do not make for a good mix!
Did have lots of fun prior to the phone call, though. Thanks, guys!

I was going to PM you first thing, and I saw this post. It was the first thing I thought of when I got out of bed this morning.

What relief! And yes, that guardian angel deserves some overtime pay! Semi's and vette's don't belong in same sentence!

so glad everything is ok. Hope he feels better soon!

Glad you posted Pam....we really are a community here, and when one of us is hurting...well, we all are.

Hugs all around! Grey hair to-go!

:coolcar:  Thanks everyone!! You said it right, Linda. It truly does feel homey! If you make it a guiness, I'll take it!! To eliminate the grey hair thing, I am auctioning off one slightly damaged son---he still has plenty of destructive miles left in him!! Any offers?

I wasn't in chat and didn't know what had happened, but I just want to add that I am so glad that all turned out well. I am sure your heart skipped several beats when you got the news. I am sure your son is counting his lucky stars.

 Glad he's ok. Our youngest is DS17 and he only has a permit. I know it's going to be harder to have this one drive away.
