Or did this get put to the back burner with all the new booking policy talk?

I think BLT sales would put booking windows in the dust. Alas, no news.

Anyone else get a call from their guide and do their BLT add-on?!?!?!?!
I'm now the proud Owner of 10, 50 point contracts!!
:hahahaha::laughing::hahahaha::laughing:
Okay, so at least I stopped before making up a ficticious price per point that I paid.
Happy 4th everyone, the greenbans are out on the prowl!

I talked to our DVC guy on the 2nd about some Beacon Lettuce and Tomato no I mean BLT points ready for sale. He said the BLT is still the joke at DVC.
He said they were thinking the first of July but that was being pushed back and still no commitment as to being a DVC

I think this one still has to much building left to complete to be put up for sale, if it is to be put up for sale. :fingerscr I am going to set back and watch this one. I talked to my guide a few weeks ago, when I told him that I wasn't interested in BLT, he tried to talk me into it :idontgeti as much as he could.

I read "somewhere" that the BLT Initial Offering Date was pushed back from July 1st to October 1st or so. Disney's fiscal year begins October 1st and they want the profit to show for next year...not this past year. I don't know if any of this is true. We just returned from WDW and spoke to many DVC people manning the kiosks. They all claimed they weren't even aware that something was going on at the Contemporary. With straight faces.

We were just at WDW this past weekend. Had dinner at Calfornia Grill and lunch at the Wave. So we spent a good biit a time over at the Contemporary. The new tower has a long, long way to go before completion. Easily over a year before completion.

They could still probably start in August ... by the time everything 'closes' officially, it would likely be the FY2009. Plus, I'm sure there are ways they can accrue any profits forward. Finance is fun. ;)

I was just at WDW this past week too. I agree, the tower looks a long way off, even from the Monorail.
I also have the following tidbits from my guide just tonight:
1) DVC employees weren't allowed to take vacation in June or July. They anticipated that it was due to sales starting after the announcement of the new resort for DVC. Just the past couple weeks, that rule was rescinded, so something happened.
2) There is speculation that there was some problem with the state government. It's possible that what was supposed to be used for DVC, might be used for rooms to support conventions due to differences in regulations.

Regarding number 1. I heard the reason for no vacations in june and july was for training the new sales staff that was hired:rockband:.
