NEWS: Reservations begin for Kidani Village

Members who call Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas "home" may call Member Services beginning on Aug. 10, 2008, to make vacation reservations for stays beginning on May 1, 2009, at the resort's Kidani Village accommodations, pictured above under construction. Those reservations become available to all Members within the 7-month booking window.

Membership at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas includes accommodations both at Jambo House (the existing resort building) and Kidani Village.

Kidani Village will feature dedicated Disney Vacation Club accommodations, a new pool and water-recreation area, a new African spice routes-inspired restaurant called Sanaa (Swahili for artwork) and other amenities.

So, if by chance the BLT follows the same scheduling, then ressies for the supposed BLT could possibly start being taken maybe in Feburary. I know, that is a lot of if's and maybes and so forth. Can't help myself. :yes:

That is great news. We are planning on a June 09 2 be savanna 7 night stay. I wonder if we should book Jambo at 11 months and then switch to Kidani on August 10. Or is it just as good to wait until Aug 10?

Remember that Kidani Village is huge, and wil be completed by May 09. It will not be anywhere near sold out, so you shouldn't have a problem. However, there's no harm in doing what you want to do since the point values would be the same.

I can't wait to try Kidani either, but we're going in January so we'll still be in Jambo House.
