We had a wonderful dinner last night at California Grill and discussed dining at BLT with our server. He said that from what he has heard there will be a rooftop lounge and possibly a counter service restaurant but no sit down restaurant.
Has anyone heard anything else about dining options there?

That's cool to hear. Thanks for posting! Let's hope they don't actually serve BLTs in the CS . . .

was told that the restuarant is on the first or second floor - and it appears to be table service.
would love a rooftop lounge - but the first plans had only GV on the top 2 floors.
would hope the rooftop lounge would include views of the MK fireworks.... then everyone can see them!!!:bouncingp:cheers2:
having a drink while watching wishes..... heaven!:goob::bunny::genie::wearenumb

I agree with Kimberh... whether it be lounge or restaurant, a view of the MK fireworks would be a premium table in WDW! Lets keep our fingers crossed.

Ditto that! I would like to see some type of outdoor area to watch the fireworks and have the music piped in. That would be amazing!

No roof top lounge. Construction is topped out and it looks like they took the rooms all the way up.
I wondering if there isn't something hiding on the top facing Bay Lake. There is a rounded area that is not rooms but could be something like a lounge. I'll see if I can find a pic..
I think they should definitely have some food options. This is a large place so a counter service and table service would not be too much.
This isn't the best shot but it does show the round area I'm talking about on top...

I had heard that there were plans to put an observation area on top or on the top floor to watch fireworks, etc. This was discussed when it was disclosed that the door from the main Contemporary concourse would probably require room key to gain access to the bridge. An observation area would be cool.
Now many floors did they top out at?? The main Contemporary tower is what, 12 stories?

I'm curious to see what they do offer. I always like trying new places to eat.
Even though I probably won't ever stay at BLT, if they do have a rooftop observation lounge, I hope they do make it room card access only. I think that those paying to stay there - points or cash - should be the ones to enjoy it and not be crowded by everyone in WDW who finds out about this "secret" location and wants to join in.
If they put a lounge atop, I would like to go only if the bartender that makes the cosmos at CG also make them there. Yummy!

I certainly hope so to. I was always very dissapointed that they took out the viewing location at the BW. I always thought that was a fantastic idea. and thinking about it now. SSR was to have a firework viewing location and they shut down the fireworks. Whats with that!!!!
