We are leaving for WDW on Friday and we pulled out our renewel cards that we can trade for our APs and realized that my son's card is for a 9 and under child and he is now 10 going on 11 EEEEEEEK. When we got our original AP he was 9 and to be honest I really did not even think about it when I did the online renewal.

Has anyone else had this issue? I am hoping that I can just pay the difference when we get there. ANyone have any ideas?

Worst case is that they make you pay the difference between the child's voucher price and the current adult renewal price. Best case is that you tell them he's now 10 and they say "don't worry about it". You really won't know until you trade in your vouchers.

If I remember correctly from other posts, you can get that taken care of at Guest Services. They are not going to make you buy a whole new pass. I'm sure it happens a LOT.

They will honor it. Really, no need to even go to guest services. My DD had an AP she got when she was 9 and she turned 10 that year. Went a couple times after her birthday and never had any problems. There is info about this on allearsnet.com. I believe you can exchange the AP for an adult pass for no charge if it bothers you, but honestly I wouldn't go thru the hassle.

EDIT-
Nevermind, I saw this was for a renewal! Don't know! Let us know what you find out!

I am not sure about an annual pass but I recently purchased a 10 day park hopper ticket for my daughter and they said it if we have days left on it when she is older the ticket will still be valid because it was purchased when she was a child.

Hope this helps.

I think the difference between a child's leftover park pass and this AP is the AP voucher was purchased after the OP's son turned 10.

It will be no problem and depending on the CM you get will determin if you pay the difference. Thats the worse it will be .

I'm sure it happens all the time when Families renew on-line.

I appreciate everyone's advice! I plan to be upfront and tell them he is turning 11 - I don't want to cheat but I was not sure what they would do. I am sure tons of people attempt to squeeze another year out but I feel weird not saying something. I just wanted to make sure I could convert it!

What is wrong with you!!!!

Are you a DISboard plant?!?!

Of course you should cheat and lie and maximize your savings while ripping off Disney. That is what we do here! Shame on you for doing the right thing! What if everyone did that?!?

I am so sorry :computerg

As a penance for these actions I promise that I will do the following next week on my vacation:

1. Figure out a way to pool hop to BCV and AKV
2. Take the SSR bus and walk to DTD
3. Buy a cup at my one day stay at Pop and then use it at BWV
4. During the final leg at CR I will drive my car to BWV and tell them I am having dinner so I can walk into the park instead of take the monorail.

If this is not enough then let me know. Perhaps I can DEMAND the room farthest away, dirtiest, noisiest room in the hotel...oh wait I already always get that one LOL.

It's a start. Stick around a while... and then you will be able to take the training wheels off :)
