Newbie question

I have seen different posts about buying into different building at AKV - Jambo House,etc. I haven't seen this for other resorts; it seems like you buy into the whole resort. Am I wrong? I was interested in looking into the AKV and really like the GV's; are these only available as the home resort for the Jambo House buyers? Sorry if some of my lingo is incorrect I am just getting started. Thanks.

DVC is selling the Animal Kingdom Villas (AKV). It really, for all intent and purposes, does not matter where the actual unit you purchased into resides. It doesn't matter if your unit is in Jambo House or Kidani Village. There is just one AKV and all owners have the same booking rights for the entire resort.

The only two things that come into play are:

1) You buy into AKV at Kidani and your unit is not yet ready to be occupied. This means you can't use your AKV points anywhere and that you don't have to pay maintenance fees.

2) If the unit you own is damaged or destroyed, your use of your points will be impacted.
