Following our AKV add-on of last week, yesterday, your intrepid leaders went on another visit to Disney's Doorway to Dreams, located in Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, IL.
Wow, were we in for a treat!
First, our guide told us about some exciting member mixers that DVC will be offering at the mall. Designed exclusively for new members, these hour-long monthly mixers (first one scheduled for June 26th) will provide members with hints and tips about how to make the most of their memberships and explore just how much DVC has to offer. They'll also provide information and updates about the latest rides, attractions, and so forth.
These mixers are not designed to be the venues for major news with regard to announcements about changing incentives, new resort openings, and so forth. Still, they promise to be fun and educational. Currently, attendance is by invitation only (new members are randomly chosen). DVC may offer similar mixers for established members in the future.
Second, our guide is working with us to get a date firmly established for our MouseOwners Third Anniversary Meet at the Mall. We're all really excited about it, and we'll get back to you as soon as we have a "reservation confirmation."
Third, we were lucky enough to receive a couple of really cool gifts to go along with the special mouse ears hats that we received last time.
The first gift was a Mickey/mouse ears hat box. Here are a few pictures of it:
