NEWS: MouseOwner Pycees312 Chosen for Travel Channel DVC Special

Not sure if this is the correct area for this. But my Husband and I will be featured in the Travel Channel Show. The Staff at Edelman productions has been great. I don't think i can go into details but my segment should be really fun! So thanks to this board for providing the info.
I've know for a while now but I wanted to make sure everything was set in stone before I said anything. Again mouse owners rock!!

The Orlando portion was shot last week.. my portion is somewhere else. You'll have to wait and see. Will shoot sometime end of this month or early July. Still working on dates. Show is now scheduled to air in Sept now verses August.
I'm so excited!!!!

exactly. When i can share i'll definately do so with all of you. I was told we would be the last segment that will showcase activities you can do while using DVC points for other places besides DVC. It was a journey to get it but well worth it!!

U guys are all awesome thanks for the congrats. It was a long road to get in i'll tell you that much!! i wish i would have blogged everything. To make a long story short. My whole family was considered, then the direction was changed and we no longer were considered. Then i got another call after that because they really liked me i think and they decided to do something totally different. then that wasn't going so well.. and i thought it wasn't going to happen. then another direction was pitched and this time it was a go. I went on a complete roller coaster for the past 3 weeks. My co workers went on it with me lol but we're all excited in the end it panned out. The Edelman Staff is amazing is all I can say. And im greatful for the opportunity.

Words cannot express how happy I am to have gone through the experience I had yesterday. We had an absolute blast with the crew and the 2 Disney Marketing execs who were there. We had a fun filled day from 8am -6:30pm of shooting. I don't want to go into details of the day since that would spoil it for the show. As a Disney Fan to have been a part of this special is so awesome. Everyone was so nice and we all had a great time together. My co woker and her husband, and my cousin and his wife joined us for the show. I will post some pictures sometime tonight. I hope you all enjoy the finished product I know we for sure had some bloopers. Well maybe alot of bloopers, but hopefully it will look perfect! Thanks again to everyone for thier well wishes and to this board for alerting us about this. All i can say is reality tv is so much harder than it looks. Everytime we said soemthing they liked we were asked to say it again lol... so having to make it look spontanious again is really hard especially trying to remember what it was that you said lol......

We were told Sept 24th at 8pm. If anything changes I'll let everyone know.
I'm bursting at the seems and want to give you all play by play but i think that would spoil it... am i wrong? I will say I did not go anywhere exotic and we were local.. I did use twitter and post the play by play on there though one sentence at a time..

I think it would spoil it. Anticipation is a good thing (usually) :)

as far as i'm concerned, burst away. i can understand though if people don't want to be spoiled, but there are things you can tell us about that we are never going to see (behind the scenes, editing, etc), and the details are still fresh in your head now.

maybe (if you want, of course) a post with a spoiler alert? quite frankly i see this as major scoopage and hey, inquiring minds want to know!

Sorry this has taken me so long. I've been extremely busy this week at work for some reason. Anyway i have selected a few photos that hopefully won't give away to much.
The purpose of our segment is to showcase that you do not have to use DVC points to stay on Disney properties. You can use your points to stay at other location and do other activities. We went to a lovely spa , had a picnic, rode the mini car, and shot some extra footage at a place i cannot disclose. Hopefully these pictures show up.... And yes it would not be good for me give many details..
This is a picture from the lunch we had with the crew. It was at a really nice seafood place.. It was the Edelman Production team, David and Cybil (disney Marketing ) and myself my husband is in the green shirt lol, my 4 friends who went with us to do this..
