View Full Version : NEWS: MO Meet Offered at Doorway to Dreams (IL)?!?!

Hi, All --

Well, I've got some exciting news! :woohoodan

Disney's Doorway to Dreams, located at the Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, IL, has offered to allow MO members to use that space for a MO Meet! :eareek::bouncingm

They'll even provide refreshments (the world-famous rice krispie treats were mentioned!), tools for doing a Disney Trivia Contest, etc. (Who knows: we might get some "Doorway" freebies, too.) :mickeybar

What do you guys think? Is there any interest in doing this? I was thinking maybe we could do it some time in September, as a way of celebrating MO's third anniversary. :birhdaypa

I think this is an awesome opportunity for MO members in the IL and northern IN to get together and have some fun -- right in a small part of "Disney's World!" :rockband:

FYI - I checked SWA to Chicago, it's a little under $200 round trip in September.

Darn, Its 11 hours from me, tempting but I guess no. Especially with the price of gas. thats haft the trip to WDW.

Can you believe I'm 15 minutes away and haven't been there yet? I usually avoid Woodfield Mall, but this sounds like a good time. And the bonus is "planting the DVC seed" into hubby head! :idea:

Anyone in the area know if there is a way to get from Union Station to the Mall easily? Could take the train from Pontiac, MI to Chicago, but can't afford the gas!

You can take the Metra train to the Schaumburg stop (Milwaukee District-West line), and then probably be picked up by someone along the way.

That would work!

We were in Chicago a few months ago and drove out to the mall. At the time I had forgotten that the DVC center was there. We had a great time looking at the models and walked away with a bag full of goodies. It would be great if BLT was selling then. Would give me a chance to add on in person.
