Actually I need your help.

I am in the process of vetting a new source, and have had a very generous offer of a new source (from a MOs member) if I have a cool code name in the tradition of DEEP CROAKER

So DW and I spent the night drinking and giggling (not gigging!, never gigging!) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frog_gigging

and came up with some code names for new informents as added.

Please rank them and add your own as well!

Many TIAs!

-Tony

Yes we considered Private-Eye Pollywog and Privaledged Info Pollywog too!

First, I would never name a SOURCE as a tattle tale _ so I have ranked that last.

Second, SPY FLY is a kewl name, so I have ranked that first.

Talking tadpole has a nice ring to is and is not insulting (like tattle tale) so it is second.

I URGE THAT EVERYONE OVERWHELMINGLY VOTE FOR SPY FLY.

I took the first choice

OUCH!

So close, but the TRIPLE CROWN of poll replies has been stopped in it's tracks by ELAINE!!!!

Phew! That saved me the cost of an OKW GV!!!!! ;)

So close!

ETA: The judges have discovered another irregularity. WHile Elaine posted the first reply, she never correctly recorded her vote. I placed the first vote for her choice of Spy Fly, Talking Tadpole and Tattle Tale Toad.

Thus did T&R win? They did vote first, but Elaine replied first.

Elaine since you're a lawyer, and I trust your objectivity (and willingness to save me from the costs associated with awarding a 'MAJOR PRIZE' to T&R), so will you decide the matter?

Yes, that is true, see my earlier post (I modified it while you were posting....

;)

Seems fair, no?

Hmmm....Looks like another hanging chad incident during an election year.

(Of course, I could always just move her post or make it go away like it never happened!)

That's what I like about MOs....

So few disappearing posts, members, or podcasts for the matter!

You integrity shines like a star!

ETA:

Ooooohhhh I got my first grow up vote. Perhaps I'll post yet another poll to see if I should grow up. Sadly (but shouldn't be too suprising for a Disney fansite) much like Peter Pan, I'll never grow up, so Neener Neener!

;)

So many choices, so little cyberspace...

This poll has me wonder about who or what life form is the original Deep Croaker. Who is it that you have sending you messages deep into the night.

It must be some sort of nocturnal creature, something that can survive among the muck and mire. Something that could, if necessary, co-exist with frogs, though with either not necessarily willing to admit it publicly.

There must be a sort of an uneasy co-existence with this creature, with a mutually agreed annihilation clause.

This life form is also a risk taker, something that sees the bigger picture and needs to satisfy an urge to share, something allowed to roam among both sides of the aisle, while harboring a hidden agenda.

Hmmm.

That's it!

I've figured out who the original Deep Croaker is!

FYI:

DC is much prettier than Linda Tripp, even if he's a guy! Although that flattering photo of LT suggests she's in drag!!!!

Too funny my friend!

It was more important to me to win the results than to win the who voted first contest.

So there.

Neener, neener!

(Lots of spacing to make it easier to read.)

Hugs and kisses,

In an effort to even begin to approach the cleverness of the frog, I ran a quikie wiki search. While I did vote for Spy Fly I would like to nominate from the floor...

Rana clamitans or RanaC for short. That would be the binomial name of one green frog.

Another that has some additional possibilities might be Rana virgatipes (carpenter frog) which could become RanaVirgin or RanaHerpes or RanaVirgiHerpes.

And last but not least, Bufo woodhousii fowleri (Fowler's Toad) could be BufoWoody.

I'm not trying to upset the cesspool or anything...

Funny thing is the Fowler's Toad is my absolutely favorite toad in the world!

Elaine,

I voted different than you did... but before I read your reply. I thought your arguments were spot on -- are you some type of trial lawyer or something? :) I wish I had read your reply before voting!!!
