I just found this forum. We have been DVC members for abour 8 years. Our kids are just about grown (20,17,17) so we will be more adult oriented in the future. Looking forward to going through all the forums and maybe learning some new things.

Its a sad time, but yet a happy time!
The past 3 years, we have been taking trips about 50% without the kids. But even when we are away without the kids, that doesn't stop the text messages and phone calls from them.
This year, we are only going on two trips with the kids. One for a week in June, one for 5 days in November. All the other trips will be either just the Robin and I, or with another couple.

:dancingba:clappingh :woohoodan Welcome to MouseOwners!!
We are in a similar point in our life. Our kids are 15,17 & 22. The kids all still love WDW and all still love to go. That is one of the great things about WDW, there are some different things to do and see, for all ages.

Our 20 year old does not come with us anymore. We are taking our twin 17 year old boys and 2 of their friends at the end ov July (AKL). But they are traveling more than we are. One went to Germany, Austria, and Italy 2 years ago, the other went only to Italy last year, and they both are planning on going to Ireland for spring break next year. We have no plans for WDW next year (no points), but my kids do want to run a Goofy at sometime. We hope to be back early 2010 with some of our DINK friends.

Or messages to them. We cannot seem to walk past the email post card machines in Epcot without sending one to the girls.

Is this new? This is the first time I have heard of them. Where are they located?

The building that used to be called Communicore West. Maybe it is called innoventions or something like that now. As you walk into Epcot past the golf ball... it is on your right hand side on the way to the Land.

Thought I would add to Jim's answer.....from Allears....
INNOVENTIONS "WEST"
Located on the side with the Land, Living Seas and Imagination
ThinkPlace is presented by IBM
Central to this exhibit is the IBM Think*a*ma*jig, a large, multi-player video game where guests work together to build a machine and then compete with each other for treasure. This area is also home to the popular IBM Internet Postcards, which allow you to take a picture of the family and send it via email to the folks back home. E-postcards are available in English, Spanish, German, French and Japanese.
We stumbled across it a few years ago....if your not looking for it, its easy to miss. :duck:

Here is a sample. The quality is not exactly stellar... but we still do it.

Ooohhh I want to do that in July! I hate it when I miss cool little things like that.
Is it busy, do you have to wait in line?
See what I get for skipping past those buidlings. There is more to Epcot then Soaring, Test Track and Eating & Drinking!

Hardly ever a line more than 1 deep. Usually you can find an empty machine. The other thing that is very "un-Disney"... it is free.

We have done it also--I like the ones where you put yourself in space suits etc. I am also afraid to go w/o my DD. She always has a friend with her but it's nice to know she's here with us running up my hotel charge. On the other hand it would be nice to have someone to stay home with the cat and dog... Mary

And then, suddenly, you are going with kids again - your kids' kids. And, you can choose to go without them once in awhile, as well. Ain't life grand?!

I can't wait for that. Well maybe 15 years as DD is only 15 now.

Give her a little time. My boys are 33 and 31 now. But they have gifted us with 2 four-year-olds, a 2 and 1/2-year-old and an 11-month old. We took 'em all to WDW in early December, then took just the oldest 4-yr-old, just before his 4th b'day, in April. Sandra and I hope to take one kid a year for the next three years, close around the 4th or 5th birthday...in addition to the other family trips we are planning with our new DVC membership.

I think there's a couple of these machines at the end of Mission: Space.
Go in through the gift shop if you don't like the ride. Also some at Imagination
pavilion, I think.

We've done the Mission:Space postcards - they're pretty funny. They're close to the exit of the "Training Lab".
