I just read on another site that Kidani Village won't have a quiet pool and that the proposed BLT won't either? Can anyone confirm? How about GCV? If not, wondering if this is the start of a trend?:scratchch

I know that Kidani will have it's own feature pool area, and I believe I saw a feature pool in the BLT's plans that were posted - so maybe that is why there won't be a quiet pool.

I moved this to Resorts since the rumor isn't substantiated, and likely involved misinformation (Not the OPs fault).
To the OP: Quiet pool may be the wrong term to use but published marketing information and construction filings show that Kidani Village will have its own pool at Animal Kingdom Villas. It's themed and comes with an interactive water area, so it's not really a quiet pool. I think Disney distinguishes between themed and non-themed pools so your source for the rumor may have been confused on that count. At any rate, this will mean two pools at AKL/V. The Uzima Springs pool for Jambo House, and the Kidani Pool for Kidani Village.
We don't have marketing materials on the BLT yet, but the POS we uncovered and other filings show themed pool for the tower. Again - not a 'quiet pool' but a pool of its own. I suspect Kidani Village and BLT pools will be the best on property after Stormalong Bay.

I don't think it is a trend.
Both Kidani and BLT are single buidlings. It appears that at least Kidnai is going to have a themed pool with a slide and all the other "pool amenities". Haven't really seen any plans for BLT but I would expect the same there.
Not sure where they would put a quiet pool for either place and not sure one is even needed.

Yes - but your post was so much more eloquent!:bunny:

Thanks for putting me in the right spot here! Well, BCV has a themed pool and a quiet pool. Same with BWV, OKW, SSR. So why are these new resorts any different?

Well - at BCV, for example - BC, YC, and BCV all share the one big pool. SO - a few quiet pool sprinkled around takes the stress off the main pool - and is great for adults who don't care about the slides.... (which I cannot relate to personally as I'm more into the slides than my kids...)
OKW - same thing - except that its just one huge resort with only 1 feature pool.
Whereas with BLT & AKV - 2 huge feature pools should handle their capacity just fine. That's just my thought. We really do enjoy the quiet pools - they have their time and place - but I do notice that they are usually pretty empty. I'm sure management has noticed that as well.
Quiet pool? Isn't that the villa's jacuzzi?

No, the quiet pools are in separate areas, apart from the main pool. I really enjoy them because it is not as busy, and at times are actually "quiet". Mostly adults hang out there. I am always at the one at BWV.

In your initial post, I thought you meant 'no dedicated pool at all,' so I apologize if I misunderstood your question.
The other problem with AKV and BLT is that the property design doesn't lend itself to quiet pools in addition to the themed pools.
AKL and WL are probably the best model to go with here - both had just the themed pool. The quiet pool came with the DVC wing at WL, and Kidani Village is getting it's own pool.
With regard to AKL, they had no location to add a quiet pool given the resort design, without taking space away from the savannas, which defeats the purpose of the resort. Kidani Village probably could have been designed with a quiet pool in addition to the themed water area, but folks haven't really complained about the AKL pool (it's the largest single pool on property).
Personally, I'm worried about the BLT pool - it's supposed to go in the interior of the "C," but I don't think it's going to be large enough for the capacity of the tower.

I hope it not as boring as WL and AK. We love SAB. Any opinions (guesses) on the theming and styling of the BLT pool?

The AKV Kidani Village pool looks pretty impressive. I'm thinking the BLT pool is going to look odd at best. Unless they get a lot of foliage in there, I'm not sure how the design style is going to be much different from the concrete hole they call a themed pool for the Contemporary Resort.

This is *NOT* per Deep Croaker......
I heard that many leafy green Lettuce-like plants will provide ground cover, that the pool will be painted a bright (Tomatoey) Red and that the feature slide will be shaped like a fried slice of Bacon at the BLT.
Can anyone else confirm?
Gotta go now, I'm suddenly hungry!
