Got our Membership Number

Jumping for joy! I called Member Services today and asked if our names were in their computer yet and guess what, WE ARE, after 10 days from closing. We now have our membership number and we are officially a member of the DVC family! Hello to all you DVC members out there. We still have to get our membership cards and related materials which should be in about 3 weeks. We now need to start planning our first trip "home" for next May.

Thanks for all the information on this board. It was certainly a help with all the questions we had before we made the decision to purchase. I enjoy all the discussions among the regulars. Keep it up.:D

How exciting! I see your home is OKW. Ours is, too. We just got the papers to start closing today. How long did it take for you to close after you got the papers?

It took 2 weeks exactly from the day we heard we passed ROFR until the closing papers arrived.

We sent our closing papers and our cashiers check to the title company on April 10. We received an e-mail from Jaki (our resale agent) on May 16. It took awhile for the sellers to send their papers back. Jaki said it would be about 3 weeks before we get our membership cards and related materials from Disney but we could call MS after about 10 days to see if our names were in the company. We got our number yesterday and I just banked the 2007 points since we can't use them this year. Our UY is Dec. and we won't be making a trip until May of 2009.

Good luck with your closing. I think OKW will be a wonderful resort.

I got my membership number today, too, 8 days after closing on SSR (still working on getting stuff into my signature). Got registered online, and found my points are already posted.:woohoo:

Looking forward to the planner and the little blue cards. Already offered on a 2nd contract. Addonitis strikes swiftly at my house. (Actually planned on two contracts from the beginning, for estate purposes.)
