i have another question. Let's say that i have BWV as my home resort, I want to make a ressie for a 2br during october at BWV and i am at the 11 month window. Will I FORSURE get my ressie? or will I have to be on a waitlist?

All reservations are subject to availability, of course. I see no problem with you getting such a reservation, particularly for preferred view.

The only way to be sure would be to call day-by-day and be sure you call in right at 9am.

She has a 1 hour advantage... living in MN, she can call at 8:00 :)

BTW: When we moved from MA to OR... I told my 12 yo daughter that she could stay up an extra 3 hours every night... Plus sleep in an extra 3 hours every morning.

That said, if you are OK with a PV Pool/Garden, there is only an itsy, bitsy, teeny, weeny very small, nearly zero chance that you will have to waitlist.

If you call day by day for a PV Boardwalk view or a SV, then there is an itsy bitsy very small chance that you will have to waitlist. If you don't call day by day, there is a small chance that you will have to waitlist and a very big, almost guaranteed chance that the waitlist will work.

If you book day-by-day at the 11 month window, the odds are 99.9% you'll get your wish, even a Standard View room if you call precisely at 8:58:32 each day. But even if you had to go on a waitlist, I would bet (if placed at the 11 month window) that you'd have a 99% chance of matching.

The only rooms I wouldn't bet on are AKV Concierge, even at the 11 month window and even at 08:58:32 EST!

What does the AK concierge give you that everyone talks about it? Mary

You get all of the concierge amenities (Sunrise/Sunset Safari, food, drinks, etc.). I'd also guess that unless you own at AKV and are very very lucky, you'd almost never even have a chance at getting them. Like the frgoman mentioned above. Although that doesn't mean I still wouldn't try sometime :)

if you are going for a standard view - maybe not.

but any PV and I think the BV you will be fine.

standard view go fast for the f/w festavial and early Dec.

on call the first morning like you are during day by day - then ask the MS if this necessary - if they say yes - then definitely kept calling day by day. If no - then you can the rest of your reservations on the last night 11 months in advance.

Not necessarily true on the AKV concierge. I have a two-bedroom booked this September, and I was able to book it at the 6-month window, and I am not an owner. Do I think I was lucky, yes, but it does happen.

Two questions...

What is the Sunrise/Sunset safari? and
Does MS get bothered by people calling day by day? Does this mean you have separate reservations for each day? I'm new to this and never would have thought to call each day of the res.

ms first suggested it for high demand times. For me it was trying to get standard view during Thanksgiving week at BWV.

no, your next day gets added to the current reservation (I think) - now sometimes they have - was not sure of the reason separate reservation - got told it was because they didn't want to lose my days that I already had.

anyway just called back got an experienced MS (she had been there since the beginning) and she changed it no problems.

the sunset safari is open to any guest at AKL

the sunrise is only open to conceirge guests at any WDW resort.

the sunset is longer than sunrise.

the sunrise is also cheaper.

Never booked yet, my question when you call MS what do you say for a day to day ressie. Do you just tell them that? And what are the pro/cons of doing day2day vs. week long rental. thanks
