So folks, please post your one absolute favorite smiley! It does not have to be native to this board, even though we have great smilies here!
I can't find mine (despite a google search) but it is a frog (suprise, eh?) shooting his tongue out and eating tinkerbell. (BTW if you see/find it, plese send me the link :lovestruc)

When I get me some overtime, I tend to look more like this
:jumpingbe as I am a girl who can spend me some money. :innocent:
My poor, wondeful DH, on the other hand. Often just looks like this...:bugeyed:

And I always just type it... not pick from the emoticon list.

I'm just a grumpy luddite who doesn't like to use any of them. I have been hypnotized for short periods of time by some of them though.

I think you're referring to "lucite." (I also think you already know that, as I'm appreciating your brand of humor more, every day.)

I am ESL poster...:help:
A few years ago Rozzie and a few others kindly helped me with smiliese translation as I was really struggling to understand.
I didn't understand the subtle nuance between :headbange: and :headbrick for instance
I thought that this was a pretty flower until AFMom used it to describe something unpleasant :grouchodi
Nobody could explain to me why this one pauses and looks away, then says something before taking another sip :coffee2:
Then this took on a whole different meaning once when AFMom made it her own :shhh:

(I apparently exceeded the allowable smiley limit - I did not realize that there was such as thing, which indicates my need for remedial smiliese classes)
And I still don't understand quite what this fellow is saying, although I suspect that it may not be for delicate ears
This fellow suddenly appeared one day - :goob:. He looks innocent enough, but I think that he actually has something evil about the eyes, and he is secretly up to no good
People tend to use this one :umbrella: as 'beware of falling poop' which makes me wonder why one would stand and wait for the poop to fall. Isn't this :jleave: the recommended action if poop is beginning to rain down from the sky?
So, dear Frog Prince, a 'favourite' smiley? I can't really have a favourite when I don't yet understand them all! :headscrat
RE: bavaria
Your post is hilarious. I could hear Andy Rooney's voice in your dialog. ;) You wouldn't happen to be a writer for him would you?

Oh... my apologies. One of the problems with online forums is gender identification.
Back to the original question... I didn't realize that there was a female version of Rooney.

I've found lately I'm addicted to these things :help:
My two favorite that I've never really had the stones to use yet are:
:horse: and :imwithstu
I think there should be a stupid one that has the arrow pointing down. That way whoever says something after I do is automatically stupid!
:cheers2:
BTW is there any rhyme or reason as to which smilies show up in the editor page when you're writing a post? I hate digging for that cool smiley I used like 2 posts ago.

I love smilies. the one I use most is ;) I need this one at work (IT also) :headbrick but they won't give it to us on our IM program... I do this one a lot in real life so I think it wins my award for most realistic http://www.runemasterstudios.com/graemlins/images/spit.gif (at work I used to be stuck in a room with a bunch of funny guys and they would say the day was complete when they made fluid come out of my nose)
some other ones I like just because they are funny but never really have the opportunity to use -
