Has anyone used Netgrocer? Their website is a little confusing. For instance, would shipping fees really be only a few bucks? That's seems odd, given the weight of many food items . . .

I just recently used gardengrocer.com. Ordered 3 weeks in advance via the web, noted in the notes section an afternoon delivery and check in day, and called and left a message about 4 days before with my cell phone number.

Around 3 pm on Saturday of my check in, I received a call from the gentleman, and he left everything with the bellmen as we had prepaid via paypal. Everything was in order, and well-marked as to what was frozen and what was to be refrigerated. And the bags they used were so nifty we brought them home!

Did bell services then deliver to your villa or did they store them for you?

Their site looks as if they have a really great variety.

Our order was stored for us and then delivered when we requested them to do so. BTW, the freezer bags they used I just saw in Whole Foods for $2.99 a piece. The bags are great, and I've already used them again!

to answer the original question, yes, I've used netgrocer.com a few times for a relatively small order (around $25) but a heavy order (water, Nutella, etc). Shipping was extremely reasonable and it arrived in a very timely fashion.

Only issue with netgrocer.com is limited selection sometimes and lack of fresh foods due to delivery method.

But for water, melba toast, Nutella, bagels etc it is fine.
