Hi,
Well I'm home & want to be back ALREADY! Switching resorts didn't help. Also noteworthy, it was NOT as crowded as usual. It was nice but scary @ the same time.
Okay Mom & I drive from NC to FL on Saturday staying over in GA. Get to OKW without having to turn around by 3:30 p.m. Sunday. Got room 2711 1 bedroom Pensular RD. Comfortable walking distance to HH. Stayed here before. Great room. Minor matenance issues but nothing big. Had a WONDERFUL dinner @ Olvias. Wonderful staff. Really love it here. Gredellas for ice cream for dessert. YUM!!!! Also went to World of Disney to get the pirate princess watch. Score & I got a discount it was $64.99 and I get it for $57! Sweet. (used my disney visa)
Monday 19th Epcot: Saw all the flowers, which were BEAUTIFUL as always and headed to R&C for lunch. Baggers & Mash for me & mom had Spedard's pie. Lovely. Dessert in france Neoplaltion for me. Also got chocolate chriosattes for the next morning. They were Yummy!!!! Dinner & Olvias and then Illumnations, which is AMAZING, also the only fireworks we saw this trip.
Tuesday move to AKV. Had the luggage transferred so easy and sadly left OKW. Turned out we kind of regretted it. Got to AKV and checked in room not ready which is fine. Got room 5319 a 1 bedroom. Luckly we found another elevator, its a long walk. Went out to see the baby graffes before going to HOB, and Virgin records @ DTD. Headed back to AKL to Boma & they took us 45 minutes late. Boma is good if you are willing to be a little adventurous. Finally see our room and unpacked & I have to say I was disapointed in the size of the room. I could barely move freely around the room. I had a hadicapped room too. We are hoping that the rooms @ the village will be alittle bigger???
Wednesday a small disaster & MGM. I have a new powerchair and my mom said that we should bring it to get used to it. We still have the old one. One of the footrests is stuck in an uncomfortable positon and yeah.....not good. Having it fixed after the holiday. We dealt with it and tried Mara. It was aweful:thumbsway so we got an ADR @ Prime Time. Love MGM & Epcot, however love it more when we can walk home, nuff said, home resort is BCV. Anyway PT and bus ride were fun. BTW, did PT change their portions for lunch cause I expected to get two pieces of chicken and got three??? No biggie, just asking. Had S'mores too. Than off to Indy stage show @ 4p.m. then left the park. Wanted to go to Brown Derby for dinner but nothing except a 3:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. not good when you want to catch fantasmic. so...dinner @ the GF cafe instead. Yummy! Also wished I got tickets to Pirate & Princess Party. :( Will have to keep my eyes out for dates. :yes:
Thursday: GF and Indy 4 and WP Cafe: GF tea @ 2 p.m. Wonderful!!!!!! We had to wait FOREVER for the DTD bus and then saw Indy 4! In a word, AWESOME!!!! And not a lot of people there. Totally worth the $$ and then across the way to WP cafe. Really good. then ice cream @ G again. Yum! Then a long wait for the buses @ DTD, didn't get home until 11:30 p.m. What was up with the drivers, really! Most this trip were strange!!
So all & all a fairly relaxing trip, can't wait to go again. Love AKV except for the room size. There were a lot things we didn't see this time, JACK, but that's okay!! I'll be back. We added another day to November trip, so we have a full week. Not sure what to do about an add on. Any thoughts? Its between AKV & OKW
