"Helpful Info" email from DVC

I'm not sure how new this is since we haven't been Home in about 10 months, but a couple of days ago I got an email from DVC entitled "Helpful information for your upcoming vacation."

Topics mentioned included:
* Weekly member meeting at SSR
* Member perks, with emphasis on AP discount
* 10% discount at childcare centers
* 10% discount at Raglan Road
* Happiest Celebration on Earth (go figure)

Not a lot of new info to me, but gettting the message was a nice surprise. It's good to see that DVC is continuing to try new things. :)

That is pretty cool, Tim! I think it is new. I didn't get one prior to our Dec trip. I'll let you know on this thread if I get one for HHI when we go next month.

By the way, Have a great time on your trip...hoping you have sunny weather ;)

Didn't get one for late Oct., either. So, this is definitely new -- and welcome.

I am envious that you are going home. Sigh.

I figure we are way ahead of the curve on information here, but we aren't like most others. This will be GREAT for the person that has a DVC membership but not much information!

I was shocked this weekend when I met up with my brother in law's sister who was the one that had told us so much about DVC and that convinced us to buy in and yet she knew NOTHING about renting points and transfers. She was totally amazed that I figured out how much a one bedroom would be for hubby and I and then took that away from the cost of a GV and then did a transfer with my friends giving me the cash for the points to pay the person so we have a GV in April (and it only cost my family a one bedroom's worth of points which we would have spent anyway) Hanging out with people that know so much about DVC has really taught me more than most and I am so glad to know it!

Got one for our Feb/ March trip for the first time.
