Hey Elaine,

I am new to the site looking at getting into the DVC at some point. I almost bought a week ago while I was on the DCL. I am just starting my research and this seemed like a great site. I am in Portland, OR.

Hi Bizo - SO why don't you post a trip report about your cruise?

How many are in your family? Girls, boys, what ages?

I have family in the lovely Pacific Northwest: dad and step mom, 2 aunts with their husbands and an uncle and his wife all in Astori; then 2 more aunts in Salem with their husbands. I have bunches of cousins scattered all over there also. DH is a native Oregonian and he has 4 aunts and cousins there also (his are all in Portland). We try to get up there in even numbered years. We won't make it this year because my son is getting married here.

Have you ever tried staying at any of the DVC resorts? How many trips to WDW? Why are you interested in buying DVC?

I have been an owner since 1994. This past year I bought more points to accomodate my expanded family (I originally bought when I was a single mother of one, added a husband and 2 bonus children lately).
