Congratulations on you add-on purchase. We bought 175 AKV points initially, but I am not sure we will be buying any more in the future. Depends on BLT pricing (maybe they'll have a lunch special!) or wether the Treehouse recontruction becomes DVC or not.

Wish I could but we just don't have the money saved up yet. We purchased our resale last June and added on in January. Now we have a High school graduation, confirmation and a new puppy that we are spending our money on.

We love AKV and have 210 points there. If I add-on more points, it will be at the Villas at the Grand Californian and at the Contemporary DVC (whatever the final name may be).

Just had my papers notarized for my 50 points today. We also got Aug. 2007 points. It was a nice surprise. I didn't even ask my guide about the 2007 points. I just assumed we would only get 2008 points. We checked the member website yesterday and the points were already on it, including the 2007 points. I felt like a kid at Christimas. Needless to say, I called MS on my lunch break and had them bank the points. My guide said that the points are for the existing Jambo House.

We own at Saratoga Springs. We actually did an AKV 100 point add on last year. Then last August we bought a vacation home near Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge TN. We just couldn't see how we could use our SSR, BWV, and AKV points, and I am terrible at selling anything so renting them out was not an option. So, we sold the BWV and AKV points. We would have kept BWV and AKV and sold the SSR, but we would have taken a huge loss. Anyway, this April I actually got to stay at AKV in a value studio and I was hooked on Animal Kingdom Lodge. I only want to stay in the main lodge, so I knew I would have to have the 11 month advantage to book value studios.

Congratulations on your add on. :bluebloun

Congrats on your add-on! All of the great trip reports, and especially the photos, really make me want to add on to AKV, too! It's sooo tempting...:fingerscr

Before AKV, I figured I was finished buying dvc points as I already had 1150 (and live in FL, usually only need a studio). But, AKV was just too appealing. I sold quickly bought 150 points when they started selling them, and sold off my 160 Vero points since the dues were getting ridiculous and I didn't want them going any higher.

I haven't thought of adding any more - I really have more than *enough* points still, so it's hard to justify. If I had a smaller # of points, then it would be a bigger priority for me!

Also got a 50 point AKV added on.. already planning my first visit there (not before 2009, but you can never plan a WDW visit to soon)...

I love AKL so was the right move for me :-)

I love, love love AKV and just did a small 50 point add on there. We have a June UY, so we couldn't get Jambo points, but we'll be there next year with bells on..:birhdaypa

Not yet because we just passed ROFR on our 1st contract :kickingco but I anticipate we (I'll) be adding on as soon as we close. As I've said on the "other" board don't tell DH I said that. :shhh: :zipit: ;)

Yep, we just added on 100 points at AKV and got the papers in the Fedex box on Saturday. Don't know anything about the 2007 points though - better check the DVC web site.

Well, just checked web site and there are no 2007 points alloted to AKV - where and when did you get this deal?

Goofyguy- It depends on your UY and what section of AKL you bought in at. Some folks are still able to buy Jambo House points ( the section of AKL that's opened now ) and they have been able to get 07 points.

Jambo was sold out in my UY ( June ) so when I did my add on, I bought Kidani Village ( not open yet ) so I get only 08 points that I have to bank until 09.
