Not sure if others saw this last Friday night, but I was drawn into this 20/20 news story on old tires.

Since I just bought four new tires for the family van I was very curious. Luckily ours are not that old, according to the 'secret code' imprinted on the tires. But my dad just replaced a tire on his car and, while 'brand new' the code shows it is over four years old already.
Not trying to be an alarmist, I just found this interesting and worth sharing. Many of us are approaching the summer driving season and maybe its a good idea to look into this.
