A few years ago, my father-in-law bought a winter home in Phoenix, AZ. So, for the last 4 years, I've flown out to Phoenix, and I drive with him to his house in Maryland. We take a different route each year, and this year we are going across the far North. We decided to start by driving to Santa Monica, and touch the Pacific. We'll end the trip at the Atlantic.
So this morning found us in Hollywood, and we visited Disney's Soda Fountain and Studio Store, which is next to the El Capitan theater. The theater is playing Little Mermaid right now.
What I loved about the Soda Fountain, besides the ice cream of course, is the special pins available only here. They have a whole wrack of them. My wife is a pin trader/collector and they have a sundae called the Pin Trader. You get a pin only available to people who get the sundae. It's a Chip n Dale eating a sundae, and as my wife collects C n D pins, this was a no brainer.
Anyway, I highly recommend this being a stop if you're out visiting Disneyland, and or LA.
