Day 2,
Thanks to these threads we were able to override temps last night on the T-Stat and had a very comfortable night of rest. We woke up and had some light breakfast, chocolate milk, pop tarts, and doughnuts. It was early hours at Animal Kingdom so we woke up a little earlier than I like to when on vacation but it was well worth it. This has to be one of the longer bus trips to a park from SSR, this being our first time staying at our home we might not have as much experience as many of you at this bus run stuff though, anyway we got to the Animal Kingdom around 8:30am and let me tell you, no line to get in, we walked right to the safari ride and again no line and lots of animals out getting some cool morning sun after their breakfast good time for all. We then walked right up to the raft ride again no line we sat in the right seats to get soaking wet. We headed to Everest, this is a ride that I will never get board with, there was actually a 10 min wait, how dare there be people in front of me, don’t they know that this is my vacation! We then went to the show Nemo, wow what a show. This was the first time we had seen this show and we all loved it. We met some characters had some lunch and then headed back to the room, or to the “pool and free soda” as my dear son would say. We wanted to try and get off at the Paddock and walk across the bridge and see if was faster than waiting for the bus to take us all away around and low and behold it was, so if you are ever staying at the Springs this could be a little tip for you use to save some time. Both dear son and daughter had a blast on the slide, we only spent 45 mins at the pool but it was just what the doctor ordered. We ate dinner at Hollywood and Vine at Hollywood studios and as my Dear Wife said we would eat there again. We then went to Fantasmic and well the name says it all, we did contribute to the local economy by purchasing one of those goofy black light string things, but it kept me and all the kids around us occupied for an hour before the show, well worth the $15 bucks. Today is Dear Moms choice and she said Magic Kingdom all day!

And we enjoyed it a lot more than our last trip (also 10 days) to BCV. While Beach Club was a nice walk to EPCOT and Hollywood we found it to be getting VERY run down. Cape Mays was very "dumpy".

Also with SSR it's such a large resort that the buses come almost twice as frequently as BCV and during busy times a lot more buses on the route. Numerous times we had back-to-back busses arrive for SSR.

We also would often catch buses from whatever hotel to Downtown Disney and then the short 10 minute walk to SSR - instead of doubling back through a park. This worked well to get back from Ohana's and such.

But, no such thing as a bad DVC stay -- I was just pleasantly suprised with SSR after all the "it's too big and too far away moaning"

Glad you are enjoying it.
