In 2 weeks I will be staying at the Boardwalk Villas. This is my first time staying at this resort and of course I am super excited!! I do have a few questions and I am hoping some BWV guests can help me out.

1) How long does the walk take to and from BWV to Epcot? Is it reasonable to walk there or should I wait for the boat each time?

2) How long does the walk take to and from BWV to HW Studios? Is it reasonable to walk there or should I wait for the boat each time?

3) What suggestions, hints, or tips can you give me staying at the BWV to get to and from the parks and Downtown Disney?

Thanks a ton in advance for all of your help!!!

Walking to IG and EPCOT is 5-10 minutes depending on pace. I would never take the boat(or ever will)

Walking to DHS is 10-15 minutes depending on pace. I would never take the boat(or ever will). If having kids and it rains, it might be an option.

It's about a 5-to-10-minute walk to Epcot, and about a 15-minute walk to DHS. I prefer to take the boat to DHS. When taking the boat back from DHS, get off at the Swan/Dolphin and just walk to BWV.

walking to epcot is a nice walk. the boat ride is a bit long but it is nice too. especially if you can get on right away and don't have to wait. it goes slow but it is kinda relaxing. never have walked to dhs so i can't tell you. slow boat ride as well but kinda nice at the end of the day...or mid afternoon to go back for a much needed nap.

Yeah, no kids. Just me, my wife, and 2 of our friends. We are all in our twenties so walking is probably the way to go for us.

It is generally quicker to walk to either than to take the boat.

For Epcot, the only exception is if you are walking by the boardwalk just as the Epcot boat is boarding,

For DHS (it seems so wrong to type that)... the boat from the S/D is faster than the boat from the BW because you save two stops. The S/D boat dock is almost as close (maybe closer to some rooms) than the BW boat ramp.

Walk it to both of those parks, it's nothing. We've left DHS at closing and the line for the boats was long, I was beat but decided to walk than stand and wait, we were almost back at BWV before we even saw a boat heading down to pick them up.

As for MK and AK, you'll have to bus it, drive or taxi. If you have a vehicle, it's certainly the fastest way to AK, but bus it to MK, you gotta monorail or boat to the MK from the parking area, but the bus will drop ya off almost at the gate.
