Don't know how much I can help as we come in the weekend before and leave Friday.

We usually stop going to the parks Wed. pm, usually make a trip to one on Wed morning and notice a big increase in people at the bus stop.

The first year we went to AK on Thanksgiving morning, it wasn't too bad. There were bigger crowds IMHO on Sunday of MLK weekend. I think the demographics were different as MLK we had a longer FP wait for EE, at Thanksgiving it was the safari.

As for Thanksgiving day meals we are non-traditionalist. One year we did Hoop Dee Doo review. Last year we went to House of Blues and did the Cirque show. I make turkey enough during the year that we skip it at WDW(it won't taste as good as mine according to DH and the kids).

The day after Thanksgiving hit MK at opening. Thanksgiving Day I would go to AK.

I have heard it is the 2nd buiest week of the year so I would expect large crowds. As long as you go with the attitude I won't see everything then you will be fine.

I figure we will hit our favorites and anything else is a bonus:clappingh

We've went the last two years and this last year was the busiest I've ever seen on any trip to the parks. Monday-Wednesday before were busier than we anticipated. Friday- Saturday were very, very busy. It did slow down a little on Sunday and Monday after was great. Get all your meal plans made early or you may be stuck out. Hope this helps.

I think Keith's synopsis is spot-on. I came in on the Sunday after Thanksgiving and it wasn't bad at all and Monday was DEAD. Most people have to get the kids back for school and so leave on Sunday.

If you have an AP, you can just try to beat the crowds by time and choice of parks, but I can understand if you're paying each day that you might want to pass on the parks Thurs-Saturday. Or maybe just hit all the rides early in the week and then on the busy days, mostly cruise and do the non-ride stuff.

Looks like we are set for Hoop Dee Doo Thanksgiving evening and Chef Mickey's on Sunday after.... might do a quick trip to MK on Saturday with Grandbabies. Going to check out ICE! (Florida Grandbabies have never been up north), maybe SeaWorld on Friday , rest of time just hanging out together in Grand Villa relaxing a bit with the family.

Thanks for the suggestions and insight.
