Do you think the ability to book the Disneyland hotel Resorts will go away after the villas are built? I've been thinking hard about buying into the Califonia villas but the more I think about how we vacation when we go to Disneyland the more I come to realize I may not want DCV. When we go there we go 3 nights in Anaheim( we have AP's and go about 3-4 times a year) but...I never have the desire to cook my own meals. We have favorite places we love to eat. And this is a vacation where we hardly spend any time in the room or the resort at all. We don't even really use the pools. So I think i'd be perfectly fine staying at the Grand California hotel and even the Paradise Pier wich I happen to like. I know i want 100 more points but not sure If i want them at Kidani or California. Right now we own at SSR. I'm Torn.. I'm also concerned the dues will be higher in Disneyland than the Kidani any thoughts???maybe going to this grand opening at Disneyland will help me decide.

Yes. If the DVC sticks with past performance, when a DVC is attached to a resort, that resort can no longer be booked with points.
Even though GCV is so small, I expect that will happen as well.

Since the villas will be part of the Grand Californian, you'll probably still be able to book the Disneyland Hotel and Paradise Pier with points. That's how it worked for the YC/BC/BCV complex. Can't book BC, but can still book YC.

I think they'll add on the $75.00 fee that they they have on WDW hotel rooms, that is waived at this time for DLR resorts.

Given the size of GCV and the limited number of hotel rooms at DLR overall, I wouldn't be confident of any prediction. My personal opinion (worth less than bus drivers, boat captains, and frogs) is that they'll stop using points for Grand Californian, but will still allow it for Paradise Pier and Disneyland Hotel. Of course, DLH is undergoing refurbishment, so that alone might also affect how things work.

I agree, except for the ...worthless than frogs crack.....
Dirk we are all equals here. So you are as worthless as any frog (me) ;)
(i.e. We are all equally worthless, worthful, worthy?)
