How many DVC resorts do you own points at?

This poll is a follow up to the How many DVC points do you own? poll.

I am curious about how many resorts the average MouseOwners member owns points at.

So, how many home resorts do you have?

Just two, SSR and AKV. I am on the fence about KT, depends of price, number of points and when it goes on sale. Not at all interested in Hawaii or CA DVC resorts. If I lived on the West Coast, I would add-on at both.

Just two BCV and VB.

I have enough points but wish I had purchased half of my BCV point there and half at VWL or AKL ( love the theming). I am also tempted to buy CRV only because of the location, perceived demand and resale value.

Two - OKW and SSR. I bought OKW when IT WAS DVC. It is still my favorite resort.

We bought SSR sight unseen this past year when there was such a phenomenal deal going on: discount plus getting 270 developer points plus getting the current UY 06 (at the time) and 07 points a few days later. I bought a December UY in November.

So I got 670 points within a few days of time of purchase (I immediately banked my 06 UY points which DVC allowed me to do as long as I did it before the actual end of the UY). I turned around and rented all 670 points which was enough to pay 1/3 the cost of the purchase. :bugeyed:


Since the purchase, I have stayed at SSR using my OKW points. We really enjoyed the resort. I went to the spa twice during the stay. We rented a surrey and rode around the lake. We had a lovely room in Congress Park that overlooked DTD - absolutely fabulous view.

I like SSR for the same reasons that we love OKW: it is calm and serene. I still have a slight preference for OKW. It may be that I like it better because I am more familiar with it.

When KT comes on line, we will probably do a small add on there. The Contemporary is my DH's favorite resort. (The Poly is mine - it would get me closer to Kona for my morning Tonga Toast). Neither of us has ever seen AKL or we might be tempted there as well.

We have two contracts at SSR totalling 210 points.

Just our lil 50 point VWL contract. We hope to purchase more points in a few years after we buy a home and take care of some other more pressing things.

At that point we will see about purchasing another 50-100 points but most likely at another resort just so we can have more variety.

We own at our four favorite resorts. There is something special about each of them and we simply love to stay at each.

I will add on at CRV/KTR when sales start and am still considering a GCV add-on (can't make up my mind).

BWV and AKV... Will add at KT if the price/points charts make sense. If not, we may go for BCV through re-sale. Really are hooked on the Epcot resort area because of the central location.

I'm a west coaster in the process of closing on a BWV resale contract-when that's done, I plan on adding points at both KT and GVC. Don't think I'll be adding on in Hawaii, though (MF will be probably be outrageous!).

Two. Our first was VWL back in early 2001 and then a OKW resale in mid 2002. Favorite is OKW and we hardly ever stay at VWL now.

Yes FOR YEARS I was not interested in staying anywhere but OKW. Except for the one stay at VWL when we were dating, I have never stayed any where but OKW unless OKW was not available!
