Greetings from the Pacific Northwest. My BW and I are interested in visitng DW in December and looking over the posts it sounds like we better do a few posts so we can be "checked out" by you wonderful DVC owners. Any how we would like to visit during the Christmas season, I hope it will not prove to late to purchase some points. Will be reading resort reviews, purchased a guide book and looking to learn more apparently in a hurry about DW. Looking forward to the parades.
I enjoy all kinds of jazz, particularly New Orleans sounds. Any club suggestions will be welcome.
A little meandering, we probably will stay a week and will want to visit all the main resorts at least once plus downtown Disney. Your suggestions will be appreciated.

HI Snuggle Bunny! You are in my favorite part of the world!!! My grndparents lived in Astoria Oregon and we frequently traveled up and down the coast. Love the Oregon Coast!

You better hop on getting the points rented! The first two weeks in December are THE most popular time for vacations at WDW.

Thank you for the replys, yes we enjoy our life on the coast, I sometimes refer to it as the Great Northwet. Jim, we live in Nehalem, just south of Manzanita. I think December will be a good time for an Oregonian to visit the Sunshine state, a little Disney Magic should fill the bill, I'm really looking forward to the trip.:):goldfish:

Sadly, you are late for the times you want to go, so list dates and resorts asap.

You may only be able to get a 1 Bedroom (if that) for certain dates. IIRC 12/31 is fully booked at all DVC resorts and all room classes.

However, the waitlist would most likely come in for studios/1 Bedrooms.

Just wanted to say hi! I used to live in Portland and went crabbing in Nahalem! What a beautiful part of the country - back in Ohio - and it's either too hot, too cold, too foggy, or too humid -- sometimes all in the same day!

We went the first week of december last year and absolutely loved it! I only wish it were a little cooler to really get into the holiday spirit! We were drinking hot chocolate on Main street while they made it snow for Mickey's christmas party and were sweating our buts off! Loved the Osbourne family of lights at Hollwood Studios! You will have a blast! My suggestion is Boma's at Animal Kingdom Lodge one night because they have a great tree in the lodge and it feels like Christmas. If you can rent your points at Villas of Wilderness Lodge you will not be dissapointed. We love it anytime of the year but most especially during the holidays!
