Hey everyone!! I'm sorry if this has been asked before.

I will be traveling with a couple of friends and they were wondering if you can put a credit card on file for each of us??? I've never done this, we usually just put ours down, and our travelers pay us for what they charge.

Thanks!!!

I beleive you can only have one credit card per reservatrion. So, you coudl have other cards that do not have charging privelges, but not all different cards.

A cast member posted on another forum that apparently you can have seperate credit cards. From what they said, it takes a little longer but can be done. I have never heard of this before so, I'd take it with a grain of salt.

That would be very nice, as my dh will just die if we cannot charge in January while sharing a 2BR with another couple on their points. (I had not thought of that aspect yet).

Maybe this is stating the obvious and if so I apologize, but can't you just use your regular credit card to charge things if they won't allow you to put two different cards on the room? It doesn't have to be a room charge, most places in WDW take standard credit cards. :blueflowe

We just like only having to take one card. It's the magic card that gets us in our room, into the parks adn lets us buy stuff. (Yes, we're dorks. ;) )

I can understand that. I have an AP so no matter what I need to use two cards, one for charging/room and one to get into parks so I wasn't thinking along those lines.

I can't comment on adding more than one CC to a single room. Far as I've known, it has never been possible. But that may have recently changed.

What you CAN do is attach one CC to the room and deny charging priviledges to specific keys. IMO, this is the best way to go if hosting guests.

Allowing your guests to charge to your card seems like a risky proposition. Worst case, I have to wonder how the credit card company would deal with the situation if one of your guests LOST their KTTW card. Credit card companies give you protection against the loss / theft of your actual credit card, but here we're talking about a situation where you have granted full approval to Disney to apply all charges to your card. If someone were to lose a KTTW card and the finder decides to charge $500 to your room, I tend to doubt that your CC company would let you slide on the charges.

Personally, I don't get the big deal about carrying multiple cards. We're already saddled with our APs, KTTW, DDE and I usually carry my driver's license, too. One more card ain't gonna kill me.

And don't forget our DVC member cards! I think the way you do Tim, doesn't bother me to carry multiple cards either, but live and let live as they say! :howudoin:

only one CC per villa.

so for a 2-bedroom you can only have one CC.

the way to kept up with is - you tell the front desk not to charge to credit card....

everyone has a number by their name.

that number is the way to trace who charged what. So when you are ready to leave just have everyone then apply their charges to their credit card.

to my knowledge this is the ONLY way to handle this.

there was a time with a lock out - the front desk could give 2 different cc to the studio and 1-bedroom - but long ago DVC did away with that.

1 villa 1 CC.

or you can be like me.....I charged myself period....everyone else must use their CC....comes it very handed when I am traveling with people who don't understand BUDGET ..... the front desk can allow only charging to one CC (generally the member or the person who name appeared on the reservations) and that is the only ID that will charge. the others simply won't.

your choice of course.

For shame!

Thanks everyone for your wonderful replies!!!

Special thanks to Tim!!!

I'll be passing this along to my friends. Yes, we all know about the cards having the different numbers on them. It sure does make it easy to figure out who charged what.

We'll see which way we want to do it. I didn't use to carry all my cards, until this last trip. Sigh, wish I could go back to the days of just carrying my KTTK card!! :hahahaha: but I sure do like that nifty blue(my fav. color!)dvc card!:thewave:

Maybe I'm crazy, but I seem to remember doing this. Each card has a separate name and number on it so it should be easily feasible. If you're paying cash for a reservation, Disney won't want to start dividing rooms costs but allowing someone's other charges to hit a different credit card doesn't sound like rocket science
