disney stores

So I went to the local Disney Store to buy my Disney Dollars ( as I do this from time to time to save up for upcoming Disney trips ) and I was told that they did not have any more. I thought well, this is strange but ok, when will you get more? "Never, all of the St. Louis area stores are closing." :holymoly: I think that the look of shock and disbelief must have been written all over my face. I am sooooo depressed. The Disney Store is what keeps me going in between trips. Where will I get my Disney Dollars???? I feel lost and alone. Has anyone else experienced this nightmare???

Not sure of buying on-line but hold off on the All closing right now.

Disney is in the process of reaquiring the stores back from The Childrens Place. At this point in time there is no way of knowing what is being said or told to current employees of their statis with Disney when this happens.

Good Luck and I hope this is just a form of sourgrapes on someones part. They did just open a new one here in B-more not long ago so who knows until it all pans out.I'm sure they will be closing some and moving/upgrade others.

However, a financial paper reported that along with the buy back, Disney specifically has the right to close 100 stores (about 50% of the remaining stores!).

I didn't think it was going to be that many ( and it still might not be ,just their right to do so) so we shall all see.

I have to admit I have trouble finding anything of interest in them anymore anyhow.

We don't have a Disney Store anywhere near (closest is a "Character Warehouse" an hour away in Destin) and I mourn that! I feel your pain. About 1/2 of the cities we've lived in had them, and whenever we move - I check to see what we'll have. The Character Warehouse is ok - but we just never drive down that way. I think you can get Disney Dollars on-line, though.

i don't think you can get disney dollars on line but I know that you can disney gift cards online.

Our Disney store closed in March and I'm sooooooooooooo sad :(
