I like Stich. The whole audience laughed. DH and I could do it together and we'll do it again.

Not been to WDW since the switch. I enjoyed AE but am indifferent to it being gone. I am not much of a Stitch fan, so am not eagerly awaiting my first visit.

Just so that you don't think I'm indifferent to all things.:fresh: I am looking forward to Expedition Everest!!! :doublejum :kickingco :dancingba Oh, oh yeah, and of course the Yuengling :ale: :woohoodan :ale:

We actually really enjoy this ride and hit it every time we are at MK. The kids wanted to skip it briefly when they decided it was tooooo spoooooky in there when it got dark, but that lasted one trip.

What MK and WDW in general are missing is more boy items. Even the stores are set up so that the majority of items being sold is typically princess related. Buzz is a good answer (and they seem to be expanding on the non gender themes with the recent explosion of Nemo, etc), but really the parks are princess princess princess!!!

I realize that Pooh and Mickey and all of the "cartoon" characters are pretty genderless, but beyond the Buzz ride, there isn't much to attract young boys. A little older, they will go for the thrill rides, but for now, I think Stitch is welcome - - including the ride which IS stinky (chili dogs) but doesn't stink to the lllovell family!

I'll keep my ride opinion to myself from now on, but I will comment about Stitch.

I've never seen the movie and really know very litle about Stitch.

What I do know is that I'm tired of Disney trying to push it down my throat. The blue beast is EVERYWHERE. Give it a rest.

Disclaimer: If you love Stitch and can't get enough of him/her/it , I totally agree with you also.

lol - While we like Stitch, I think you are right that he is being overused at the moment at WDW.

Not that they know ANYTHING about overkill :hyper:

I really enjoyed alien encounter...I liked it when he breathed down your neck and then he moved and there was a big crunch sound...hehhehheh

Didn't know anything about Stitch, but didn't like the looks of him. Hadn't heard the bad reports before trying this 'new ride' .

Thought it sucked. What more can I say?

OK, those poll questions gave me a bigger headache than I get from the Stitch attraction....

(Do I smell chili dogs :yuck: )

I agree that it's been Stitch overkill for a few years now. I tried to watch the movie but didn't really follow it. However I do think that Stitch in person is extremely cute, even if I don't really understand his story....

I couldn't agree more! :)

"stitch" was Ei$ner's last stand -- and it shows in the show quality. WDI was defamed by the end product (their words, not mine).

I absolutely love Stitch the character and loved the beautiful movie done in watercolors, but I think the WDW attraction is a waste of time. They could have done a much better job with it.

I did enjoy AE when it was open. Even when you knew what was going to happen you would get goosebumps when you felt his breath on on your neck.

Well, if enough people tell them how crappy the attraction is, then their expectations will be low and they will like it.

I guess you are all surprised I like Stitch, right?

Yup, I like his mis-understood juvenile behavior.

His ride? Well, its not the best though hardly as bad as others have reported. The There seems to be build up to nothing on this ride. You know, get all strapped in, dark room, eery music, suspense, then what? a little jolt to the shoulder restraint? Could be so much better, but I wouldn't call it a waste of time.

I think that people who saw and liked AE, and then saw how AE was dumbed down into Stitch are the people who really hate this ride . (Like me).

I remember that I never rode AE without some child crying....and I'm guessing that the Disney folk decided that rides that actually scare kids don't belong at Walt's park.
And while that is probably true, I still miss AE!

Oh my!

I believe we have just been insulted, we have! (Please to be imagining my best 7-11 employee voice! BTW I did work at a 7-11, but that is another thread!)

I am standing here besides my self with indignation and indigestion!

The above lines were all stolen from the movie, Short Circuit!

I really like Stitch and was expecting a bit more out of this ride. It was closed for awhile & hyped so much, I really expected alot of changes. The ride itself really has not changed that much. I did not like AE, and frankly expected better of George, but just my Jedi Master opinion I guess

I would recommend touring this attraction once, if you like Stitch.

PS: I think I had to see the movie twice before I started liking it. I loved the watercolor backgrounds, but Stitch annoyed me and I thought Lilo was a brat. They grow on you, and I actually have a talking Stitch and a cel (did I say I loved the watercolor in this movie...)

It's interesting to note that 'Stitch mania' has become international. DLRP has had the 'pumpkin men' at Hallowe'en for a few years now (very unusual men with pumpkin heads dancing aroudn Main St)

This year the pumpkin men have been relocated to Adventureland, and apparently Stitch is trying to eject them from the park. (and rumour has it that next year the pumpkin men will be collecting unemployment....)

This move doesn't appear to be popular with DLRP fans, so I don't really understand why they are using Stitch as the new 'hot' character for all these years....

Stitch's Great Escape should be closed, gutted, and completely re-imagined. It's not that I don't like Stitch, but the concept is an utter failure - scares kids and bores adults.

Some other type of Stitch attraction would be fine by me - maybe something that actually support the image of Tomorrowland as the world of tomorrow (and isn't a Pixar attraction). . . .
