We are looking at purchasing a resale listing. The price seems really good. Do most people go with the listed price or offer more? Thanks.

I suspect few people offer above the asking price. However... if it is the contract that you want, and you are afraid it will not pass ROFR... than you may want to offer a bit more.

There is a ROFR thread on the home page that can give you an idea what your should be at to pass. http://www.mouseowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11626

Good morning!

I just updated the ROFR Database this morning, finding A LOT of fallen prices for the resales market!

As soon as the new information is approved and uploaded to the Mouse Owners main website, you'll be able to view it (should be sometime later today, hopefully). Until then, if you want to send a PM with the contract information, I'll be happy to compare it against the latest stats.

Once you've reviewed the Database, I recommend being just above the minimum pricing. Every passing contract within the past month has been at the minimums.

I usually go a dollar or two below asking price. I have had several pleasant suprises (unanticipated passing of ROFR) with great prices before the recent price decline. I got vero beach at $59 or maybe $55 I have to check 2 years ago when $65 was the safe #, and last year I got a double OKW at $67 or $69, when some where in the very high $70s.

I have offered $1-2 dollars more when triples that I wanted were listed below the current ROFR minimum listed in Beca's and [CORRECTED] Delaware Mike's threads, or to motivate a slow seller to move a little faster, also always with success.

In fact I lost only one contract to ROFR, and I wanted to bid $2.00 higher, but was talked out of it by my reseller.

But bear in mind, right now the economic environment is causing prices to drop, ROFR is very fast right now (meaning Disney does not want to be holding unsold points right now, so I think, you can safely go $1-$2 below the current minimums as I don't think the real minimum has been reached yet. IMHO this is a great Buyer's Market!

Good luck and enjoy.

Please note: If you follow my advice please remember, that I am claiming to be a married adult male, hiding behind the persona and avitar of a frog on an anonymous internet forum....... As they say in Latin, Carpet Umpire!

Maybe I shoud compare their threads with my database....

The problem is probably the browser you are using on your computer. Do a google search for Firefox or Safari. They are both available for a free download. I personally like Firefox, it checks my spelling. I need that.
