Hey everyone, this may be old news but I got an e-mail solicitation from my guide offering the $8 off of AKV when you buy at least 50 points.
There was no mention in the e-mail of other incentives.
:idontgeti I wonder if they are trying to get as much sold at AKV before KTV opens?

They want you to spend your stimulus check on more points!
First direct deposits should be hitting bank accounts on Friday.:D

so if I were to do a 50 point add on would i get 50 points now and then another on my use year date witchi s Sept? Just curious if anyone knows. I'm still undecided if I want to add on now or wait until Disney California opens. Parts of me thinks the GCR will be more money and more dues because of the high demand.

That is great news! After a Spring Break stay in a value studio I was convinced that I do want to do an add on at AKV. I only wanted 50 points.

WOW. A whole $8 off. What a deal.
That's the same deal they've been offering the public. The 50 caught my eye also. No mention of 25 for cash/50 financed as has always been the case. Yet another change?

I am wanting to stay in July so how would I go about saving $8 a point since I need 97 points. Could someone let me know?

There is an incentive...
I found out because I called my guide.
and
they are giving you 2007 points plus the 50 you are getting for a total of 100 points. I will say, any questions??, call your Guide!!!!

Are these points that can only be used at SSR before Kidani opens?

Sorry but you have to buy in at $96 per point, and there is a minimum of 160 points. The 50 points is only for existing members who want to add more points. It sound like you want to rent points from some one. Check the rental forums here.

Do you suppose Disney would waive the closing costs to add on 50 points under this point incentive? Also, does anyone know if you are able to add it to your existing financing? :idontgeti

If you purchased directly from Disney, there are no closing costs for add ons. You only have closing costs for your first 160 point purchase. Now if you are a DVC member because of a resale, I am not sure if you will have to pay closing costs for adding on. I did not go that route so I don't know.
On your second question, yes, you can finance add ons even if you are still paying for your first 160 point purchase. As long as the add on is at least 50 points.
