Curious to know why and how you chose your screen name. I will start. We would vaca alot in New Hampshire and there is a campground named jigger johnson. Has nothing to do with doing shots! :ale: I was thinking of changing my name when I joined here to something like...Boardwalkbound or Miss Boardwalk(ya corny) or something to do with DVC but then no one would know who I am! :) How about you?
cobbler

Cobbler is a nickname of mine. My maiden name was Cobb. I worked at a restaurant with 5 other girls with the same first name as me, they cobbler desserts there, they needed a way to talk to us without having all 6 of us saying what when they used our first names. Well you see where it went.
I'd rather not talk about it.
Colorado Belle

A Canadian gf decided that she was 'Cinderella' and that another gf was 'Snow White'. Since I'm a brunette and like to read and had that problem with a BEAST....she dubbed me Belle. We took a cruise together and definitely lived up to our Princess titles!
When I joined the Dis, I decided to use a 'Disney' name. And I'm from Colorado.

Laura, my DH asked me what your name meant and I laughed at him! Maybe you have to be a woman to understand :sherlock:
The word, "withspirit" popped into my head about six years ago as a possible name for a store. I never opened a store but DH and I started using it for email and usernames because we liked it :goodvibes When I joined another :Pssst: Disney related board for the first time, I converted it to withdisneyspirit :)

Of course I love everyone of the princesses and other Disney heroines which in my opinion are all princesses. I'm a mama but I'm still a princess, not a queen because I'm to silly and childish to ever be a queen. :goodvibes

Laura - You almost have me wanting to change my name. I miss my old name sometimes, but wouldn't go back. My name has a lot of stigma in teh one-horse town my dh grew up in. :ROTFL:

Mine's pretty boring. It's the first letter of all the people in my family. As my daughter would say (she's one of the R's), our LITTLE family. If we used all the names from the BIG family, my name would way outdo any 11 letter -ski name out there!

That's cool! We use our first names like that...in fact, it's our vanity tags on our cars. He's JKLM1 and I'm JKLM2. When DD12 is old enough, JKLM3, etc. But we kinda planned ours. When the old biological clock ticked in, we realized we already had J (Jeff), K (Kaley) and M (Mel), so just had to round it out with an L (Lenna aka the wild todd) name.

Always had a thing for rodents, I guess! Gopher is a truly Disney-inspired creation (he's literally NOT in the book, you know!) I just love that whistlin' critter! And I guess it fits, since I actually grew up with one of those Cindy-Brady lisps as a kid... As for the other half of the name, well, I'm definitely the get-up-and-go, try-anything-once, can-do person in our family, especially where vacation (i.e. Disney!) planning is invlolved!
I toyed with other names prior to settling on this one (I was CK1 for a while on a certain other board, but back then, you could not search a 3-letter name and I kept losing track of my threads and couldn't find them - it was pre-user profile days, LOL!) So I elected to switch to gopherit - and for consistency's sake I've kept it on all the Disney boards I've been to since.

And don't worry Rash, you're never too old to be daddy's little girl.
Luigi's Girl - Your post reminds me of riding on daddy's shoulders when I was little.

I can feel your pain. I am an only child, too. And I lost my mom, and it hurts. But that old saying-that which doesn't kill us, makes us stronger. That saying has saved me more than once,
They are always with us no matter what. :grouphug: :grouphug:
