So after 6 years of subtle hints and a gradual progression to pleading with my DH, we made the decision to "jump in" and purchase a DVC resale. I got the idea that perhaps I should take a "recon" trip down BEFORE the purchase to check out :reporter: each DVC resort so I know first hand what to expect when booking and what our preferences might be.:idontgeti My mom wanted to "take a look" too, b/c we're so schedule oriented when we're down there on vacation we'd never be able to just stroll around resorts gathering info. So, we made ressies at All Star Sport, got airline tickets and made a promise, "No parks, just touring resorts." Right. :ROTFL:
Get a call from mom, "Do you know there's a Pirate and Princess Party on 5/2?" OK, I'll justify the price of the party just get a little taste of the magic. "No problem, ordered the tickets, we're going."....ring, ring..."Do you know Arlo Guthrie is performing at EPCOT on 5/1?"..."Mom, I thought we said..."
"But if we get an annual pass we could then think about MNSSHP in October.." "Hmmm....OK." Now, I failed to mention that in the mean time, on 3/20/08 AFTER all the resort and airline bookings, I came upon a loaded VWL contract (all 2007 points and 2008 points). Made an offer, it was accepted, passed ROFR and closed....on the DVC contract....for which I was to gather information....TOMORROW thru Saturday!!! Hello?:innocent: DH:"You're still going? We got the contract...why are you...:hypnotict" "Can't stop and chat now honey....I've got a pirate costume to throw together and need to brush up on some folk songs..." PS...throw in a decision to get an owner's locker into this mix too. The trip went from "just info gathering" to a DVC purchase, P&PP, AP, Park hopping,etc! :cheerlead Has the snowball effect ever happened to anyone else?
