Hello Folks,

First off, thanks for the great research tools this site provides; as a future points renter and DVC purchaser this website has been invaluable getting me smart on the nuances of planning a WDW vacation based out of the resorts. My family and I are "new" to the WDW experience but are seriously hooked (my 3y.o. daughter "lives" in her Cinderella dress since dinner at the castle). We did a week at the Grand Floridian last summer and are now seriously considering purchasing a DVC membership on the resale market. My decision plan follows but I welcome any advice / suggestions:

We are pretty sure we want to buy into either the Boardwalk or Beach Club -- we like the idea of being able to walk into Epcot as well as the specific ammenities offered in the vicinity of these two resorts. My plan is to take the family to the Boardwalk first while on leave (I'm currently stationed in Iraq) in Oct 08 (I tried to rent some points for this but was too late as both BWV and BCV were already booked due to the wine and food Fest). While I will end up paying the full price through Disney, I look at it as the cost of making an informed decision. When I get back to the States for good in May 09, we will go to the Beach Club ( I hope to rent points for this trip so feel free to contact me if you will be looking to rent your points for the end of May, begining of June).

After the BCV trip I think we will be ready to make a decision on which will be our home resort.

Anyway, I realize I am likely still in that "I don't know what I don't know" phase of embracing a DVC membership so I welcome any and all comments based your experiences.
